They've changed the grill. Maybe that will be enough to satisfy Chrysler

Which is why Chrysler is pushing 4 cylinder Wranglers, and about to unleash a ton of electric models. Anything to bring up their average fuel economy so they don't have to keep buying credits from Tesla
So, the Steel bumpers and LED lighting - that's cosmetic?
How abot the E-Torque engine only available on the Sahara. Is that cosmetic?
The $950 rock rails that also work as side steps -is that just cosmetic too?
...so the Wrangler 4XE is actually better for trails in the middle of nowhere since it can also carry a 5 gallon jerrycan, and has an extra 30 miles of range if thats not enough
The gas engine kicks in and runs the jeep, as well as charges the battery. Its a plug in hybrid. It will run on electricity for the first 30 miles or so, then it switches to the 2.0 turbo.
Whats your conplan for when you’re stuck in the middle of nowhere on a trail and you run out of gas?
More than just cosmetics
You get Steel Bumpers, LED lighting, rock rails with built in side steps, heavy duty tire carrier, all weather floor liners, and the 2.0 E-Torque that's only available on the Sahara. That's close to $5000 of useful options before they add the stickers and red seat belts
diesel_jeep found this on the Mopar website: https://www.mopar.com/en-us/my-vehicle/owners-manual.html
Looks like its getting the 2.0 turbo. Interestingly, if you select the Sahara PHEV on the drop down menu, it lists it as having 3.73 gears Also, it only lists Sahara and Rubicon as PHEV
