It’s a Christmas miracle! We were able to get the Jeep back yesterday from the dealer. The Jeep was left on a digital meter overnight to check for any voltage drop. Everything checked out fine :like:after the replacement battery was replaced :surprised: It’s really hard for me to believe I’ve...
I did get my Jeep back yesterday from the dealer. Another bad battery was the diagnosis. Sounds crazy to me but that is what the dealer found. We will see.
She’s left us stranded two out of the maybe 12 times it’s been driven. Bad battery cell I was told the first time but Friday’s problem leaves the dealer without answers. My research and reading from other members it sounds like a bad aux battery. I was hoping for it back before Christmas but I...
I did a lot of research from probably 10-12 threads on this forum. All clear so far and I’ve did some tight turns and bumps without any problems. Looks to have plenty of space without any lift or tire spacers. I wanted the taller narrow look without a lot of tire outside of the fender and it...
Oh I misread the title......What I didn’t get to do with my three week old Jeep today. It’s 55 degrees in Southern IN on Dec 22 and I was hoping to go for a Jeep ride. Just looking at pics of her on my tablet as I wondering if she misses me as she is sitting at the dealer for the 2nd time in...
3.6L V6 and I pretty sure it just has the main battery and the aux according to my research.I am going to speak more in depth Monday with the service manager. I don’t have a lot of confidence right now with the dealer. My salesman is embarrassed to say the least. Service manager actually said...
Thanks for all the info. My dealership service is closed today so I guess I’m not going to get it back this weekend. If it was home I would check it out myself. Just disappointed that at 300 miles, 150 of them are back and forth to the dealer.
Just thought I would try to reach out to anyone that has had a problem with a new Jeep draining the battery rather quickly. Original three day old battery had a bad cell. Update Tonight......two weeks later now and the Jeep is dead again this morning. At least the dealer is being honest with me...
Well......two weeks old and broke down again. Less than 250 miles and I’m starting to get pissed. Jeep is sitting in my wife’s work parking lot. Waiting on the dealer to pickup and call me back.
Picked up my jeep tonight from the dealer. Final conclusion from dealer was a bad or shorted cell in the main battery. They replaced the battery yesterday, but I told them to keep it overnight to see how it tested today. I guess it's all okay. She drove home fine. :please:
Thanks for all the suggestions*******Update ******* Me being a service guy (plumbing, boilers, tankless heaters) I have a decent knowledge of mechanical workings.I was planning on disconnecting the battery, but it was raining pretty hard, so I skipped it and let the dealer take care of it.
It...
I did push all the fuses down and almost all of them were loose or not pushed in. :surprised::surprised: I didn't know about disconnecting the battery until reading more after I had gotten home. Heading there now on my way to work. Of course it's raining now.
