Outcome:
So, after a little hiccup in communication between the technician, service writer, and yours truly, my beloved Jeep is finally back in action.
They advised that I needed a recalibration, which I did, but didn't know I already had a Tazer for recalibrations. They updated the computer...
Update:
They didn't have to adjust the gears and tires for the update, but they needed to do it for the test drive. The Tazer wasn't installed before the test drive, so it went into limp mode with a Service Transmission message on the main cluster.
When I arrived to get the Jeep, I tried to...
Awesome, thank you for the reply! I mean at the end of the day, $145 for a new clutch is still a great deal. haha, they'll get there money some how, some way.
Thank you again!
Did they charge you to recalibrate your tires and gears or was it part of the recall?
I'm in the middle of this now, and they're trying to charge me $145.
I'm currently in the process of getting the recall taken care of. They mentioned that they need to calibrate the clutch, but they're asking for $145 to calibrate the oversized tires. Has anyone else had to pay for tire calibration during the clutch recall? It seems like BS. I have a Tazer to...
Alright, So.
Just want to throw my 2 cents in. Not one to write a review, unless service/product is incredibly terrible or extremely fantastic. Like most people, if you have an experience that is not all that noteworthy, you move on with your day.
Hothead Headliners are the real deal! This is...
Good to hear, I'm looking forward to the first road trip. With the 3.45s I was always running in fourth on the freeway.
Offroad is what I'm looking forward to the most. It would struggle on a tough climb, even in 4 low.
Thanx for the feed back.
I posted this in another thread... hope this helps...
Finally got the gears done this week, I am very happy! 4.56 with the 3.6L manual on 35's is a perfect fit for me. I think if I would have gone to 4.88 I would have hated it. I do a fair bit of freeway driving, and so far so good. I haven't...

Let me get this straight.
If I upgrade my gears from the stock 3.45 to 4.56... and set the tazer to 4.56. If I were to unmarry the unit before heading to the dealership, everything would charge back to the factory setting. Meaning it will revert back to the 3.45 gear setting.
Would that send...
I called Midland, they said it's close, but as long as I don't key up both mics at the same time, it'll be fine. They're sitting at 20 inches apart. I tuned the CB, sitting at 1.1. I'll see once the Midland arrives how it works. More to follow.
Thank you. It was a bit of a PITA, but worth it. I wanted everything behind the spare tire. The hardest part was grinding it down to get the angles right around the brake light mount. Once I painted it, it blended in perfectly.
Did some digging for an all in one antenna mount for the Rough Country Relocation Bracket, to my surprise, nothing existed for what I wanted. So off to the hardware store I went.
Picked up a 3ft piece of 1.25in angle steel bar from Lowe's and grinder from Harbor Freight... made a template and...
The 3.8 was always a bit sluggish. The JLU Sport S I have now, I thought with the 3.6 would be fine... but the stock 3.45s are mud with the 35's. I almost never use 6th gear, unless I'm doing 90 downhill. I can't wait to upgrade.
