I just double checked the diagram that's with the instructions and sure enough, 3 spacers, and they only installed 1. Grr. Taking it back in today to have them install the 2 spacers they gave back to me!
I had mine installed a few weeks ago. The guy handed me 2 hard plastic spacers after the install and said they were extra in case the one he installed wore out. Thought that was kinda strange, and when I looked at the disconnect on the passenger side, after driving for a bit, it's now at an...
That was the impression I got, that most of the lift was from the springs, but this guy said otherwise. They had a hard top, plastic bumper, not sure if they have a tow package or not, I'll have to ask. That explains the varying part numbers then. Thank you!
Yes, they're genuine from a Rubicon. I could only see 1 tag on my Sport springs, but all of the Rubicon's still had their tags. I'll verify that soon. I'm going to take it back & have them do the springs like I wanted them to do in the first place. Not liking the fact that they made the decision...
I was thinking that as well. They close at 5, so there's no way for them to get it done today. I should be ok with the sport springs until I can get it back in next week?
So I'm in the shop getting everything installed & the guy is telling me the springs from my Sport are the same size as the Rubi. Is that the case? I saw in a thread that they have different part numbers, so that would clearly mean they're different? And if they only install the shocks & KO2's...
Ok, that's good to know, thanks. I don't plan on lifting it any higher, I'm short and I'd rather not need a ladder to get into the thing. Besides, it's my daily driver, don't really want to over mod it at this point.
Ok, great! And the Rubi stock tires are 33" I'm assuming? When looking at lifts I only wanted to do a max of 2" anyways, because I'm short. Didn't want to use a ladder to get it the thing! Besides this is my my only vehicle and need it decent for the street as well.
Thanks!
I'm extremely new to the Jeep scene, so I apologize in advance for any silly questions! I purchased my stock 2018 JL Sport used, back in August. Went wheelin' for the first time this past weekend and realized pretty quickly that I needed better tires and a bit of a lift. One of my Jeep club...
I'm extremely new to the Jeep scene, purchased my 2018 JL Sport used back in August. Went wheelin' this past weekend and realized I need a bit of an upgrade, lol. Someone in my Jeep club is offering me their stock Rubicon suspension and wheels/tires. I'm not sure of the lingo yet, but is this...
