Man, that's great! What was the steering dampener you used?

I'm so disappointed to read all of this. I would still really like a Jeep again, but would you think it's better to try and find a used JK at this point? I know they have their own issues, but at least it didn't have this steering safety issue. To do it over would you do that or something else?

If dealers notice do they then typically not service these steering problems?

I second this. It's very very helpful to learn what works for others. And speaking for myself, especially for a novice in terms of cars/Jeeps/mechanics/etc.

What are good LCAs to switch to? I've read that Metalcloak has good ones, like these: https://metalcloak.com/control-arms-jl-wrangler-lower-front.html.

That's great. I hope I experience the same. Before ordering I think I'm going to test drive a bunch more now, especially on the highway. And if some have this awful steering issue, I think I'm going to wait another year and cross my fingers that FCA addresses this. I wish dealers and others...

So maybe there's hope. I'm kinda nervous. I haven't had a Jeep since the mid 90's and I was ready to place an order next week at Criswell. But now I'm not so sure. I don't want to have a brand new vehicle that is unsafe on highways or that needs to be brought in to be fixed so many times...

Thanks, I sure hope so. I will get quotes from BOA and Capital One and probably go with one or the other. Just wasn't sure how all this played out when you order a car, whether you arranged financing prior to ordering or prior to pick-up/delivery. Thanks again, guys.
