  1. New York Rubicon Steel Bumper $350 (eBay Knock-off NIB)

Might be interested, but just to clarify and better understand - you haven't opened the box? So we do not know what condition the bumper is in from shipping?
  2. New York Rubicon Steel Bumper $350 (eBay Knock-off NIB)

Where on the island are you?
  3. Connecticut WTB JLUR Stock Spare Tire Carrier

I'm looking for a takeoff JLUR spare tire carrier. Just did the suspension swap into my Sport and although the 285 fits - it's tight. Looking for someone who has a takeoff that went to 35's. I'm in CT but travel. Going to be in Dallas area tomorrow-Thursday.
  4. Knocking/Clunking in rear?

Wipe down the tailgate weatherstripping with 303 protectant. I'm betting that's what it is. When it dries out anytime the jeep rocks it will pop and clunk. We test drove a 2018 and walked away from it because we overthought the issue. Then I had a rental and it did same thing so I got in back...
  5. Purpose of Gray Sleeves on Coil Springs

Thanks for getting me started. I didn’t even know what to google. It’s a spring silencer and it’s not on the parts diagrams. I also noticed while looking at all the the JLUR takeoff suspensions for sale - there seem to be multiple variations. Some setups have nothing on either rear spring. Some...
  6. Purpose of Gray Sleeves on Coil Springs

What are these sleeves for? I see they are indexed with green marks. I have a set of Rubi takeoffs - and these are the rear springs. One spring has nothing - but has the green index - while the other has 2 sleeves - both indexed.
  7. Mopar LCA swap

Follow-up report: The additional caster changes the wander for the better IMHO, but doesn't eliminate it. Steering forces are higher, especially at the higher speeds. She self centers better out of the slow speed corners - like a 90 degree right turn off a stop sign. With the lower caster I'd...
  8. Mopar LCA swap

No spray, no issues, but she's still pretty new.
  9. Mopar LCA swap

So is Jay wrong with the 103+50? Where did that come from?
  10. Mopar LCA swap

Finished installing the LCA's on my 2020 JLUS. Install was straightforward. Glad I did this relatively early at 4000 miles and before the northeast salt machine / corrosion made it even harder. As pointed out on page 1 - the right tools are your friend. I drove the front of Jeep up onto 6" ramps...
  11. Rubicon Red Dash Question

Hey everyone. I'm wondering if the red dash panels have any metallic effect to them. When light hits your red panels - is it a nice uniform red or is there any speckle when light hits it - dome light, sunlight - anything? I'd love to see some photos of your dash panels with some light...
  12. LED lights in snowstorm

I found some silicon heating pads about 3x10 on eBay. I’m going to install those on bottom side of grill headlight well - on the backside. They heat to about 200 degrees. When I get this done (haven’t even ordered them yet) I’ll report back. Not sure if just heating the bottom circumference of...
  13. Connectors and pins - JL vs JK - Same?

Hi everyone. I have a 20' JLUS with freshly installed switchbacks and Kiwi LED headlights. I've discovered how to utilize the switchbacks as DRLs via the Tazer and the addition of a male pin in the turn signal harness plug. The recommended source for the additional 2 pins I need is to buy the...
  14. 3.6 Engine Braking

So far sounds like this is normal for the 3.6 A8. The multiple 2.0 rentals I've driven do not do this.
  15. Wiring Kiwi LED Halos to parking lights JLUS

Hi everyone. I’ve been doing a ton of reading regarding LED headlights and how to wire aftermarket halos. It seems most wire to Fuse 57 and have the halos on anytime the key is on. Ideally I’d love to have the aux switches and be able to control them, but that’s not happening today. Nor do I...
  16. Kentucky WTS Red dash panels

Any evidence that they were plasti-dipped? Do they look as good as they did before they were dipped n stripped? Scratches, scuffs, etc? In the photos I see some grey and either reflections or some residue. Not sure.
  17. 3.6 Engine Braking

Hi everyone. 2600 miles into my JLUS 3.6 A8 ownership experience. Transmission for the most part shifts smoothly. The engine braking programmed into this thing is driving me a bit crazy though. I find myself selecting autostick anytime I'm on a downgrade to avoid it's insistence on rowing...
  18. KIWI Master 9" JL LED LIghts

I ordered model 3. I'll update once they are here and installed. It was a tough and unnecessarily confusing choice. Looking to see if I can wire the Kiwi halos to the parking lights vs having them always powered. I don't want a non OEM switch if i can avoid it - and I just finished the trailer...
  19. Something to ponder

Here's something to really ponder. Every vehicle type has a forum. Examples: My wife's Honda Pilot has the Piloteers group. It is an extremely active forum and folks are just as into owning their Pilot as we are with Jeeps. Ford Explorers and Rangers and Nissan Altimas owners have active places...
  20. KIWI Master 9" JL LED LIghts

Anyone with the Model 3 that can comment on the high beams? One thing I see different in the amazon pics is it doesn't appear to be a dual burn high beam as compared to models 1 and 2 - but its still the same lumen rating on the high and low beam bulb. That has to make a difference in high beam...
