The compressor will run anytime the defrost is on. That is done to remove moisture from the air. But the compressor doesn't run when set to floor, center vents, etc. Other wise why would you have an AC button? It would just run all the time, just adjust the temp. Also...the AC light doesn't come...

Yep, definitely know that. AC turns wherever the temp knob is set. That's why it's starting to get on my nerves. Heat set to medium, start the Jeep, AC will be on. Getting to where I start up...push the auto-start off button , push AC off...

Just had my 18 JL in for an oil change at the dealer (3rd of 4 free ones). Anyway I asked about any firmware/software updates. Nothing came up. If anybody gets a actual update number that we can refer to that would be great.

See what Quadratic will do for you. But I'd scuff down the front bumper with a scotchbrite pad and spray it with black wrinkle paint. The wrinkle paint comes out pretty decent. Experiment on something small first. Tip...a heatgun will really bring out the "wrinkle" and don't put on the paint to...
