I just installed today. Super easy. Have small alpine amp and sub. Upgraded head unit. All in all, enormous difference from the garbage non-alpine speakers. Clarity unreal, mid range so much better. As a ($$$$) plug and play option, couldn’t have been easier.
Supposed to do same thing as PAC. I know a couple of members on this site have installed it and felt it was worth it. They were typically using it with aftermarket amplifier and upgraded speakers. I bought it thinking I was going to do the same, and flashed it initially. I never installed it...

Used 6 months. One red clip missing from bezel, can be easily obtained online or through dealer. Replaced with Alpine x409. No issues. $500 shipped or local pickup
I installed mine yesterday (2 hours my ***....6 full working hours). My backup camera image isn’t great or very fluid, but not the issues you are seeing. Have you had any resolution to this yet?
Were you ever able to modify or bypass this? I’m upgrading my head unit. When I did this on JK, was able to replace OEM mic with on for the head unit in A pillar. Not sure if you (or anyone) has done the same on JL?
Changing without module connected - no sound. Changing with module connected - still no sound. Plan on re-flashing and re-trying soon, and be sure connected correctly to CanBus. But couldn’t get sound with module connected with either output
