We camped in Truck Haven last week. A ranger came by as soon as we unpacked. He said the whole area was closed except where we parked/camped which was about 300 yards from the 86. He said that's county property and he didn't care if we camped there. There were signs up at the entrance when we...
Well my install went pretty well. It took me a little over a day by myself. I'm confident in saying I could help you with installing your lift kit as mine was a little more involved than the kit you mentioned. It's not that hard, just time consuming.
I don't have any experience with other suspension other than the stock rubicon. I am happy that I went with the RRD shocks though. I've heard good things about the Rancho 9000's and Fox 2.0's. I figured RK did a lot of testing with the right length shocks for their kits and that's the reason I...
RK has two different LCA's. Fixed and adjustable.
Reference the OP post:
I have the adjustable RK LCA's which are very nice and beefy. I'm sure any quality company LCA's will work well. If you are OCD like me then I would go with RK to match. The synergy LCA's adjuster looks nice though.
I just installed the 2.5" RK Flex kit, but I am running the RK RRD shocks. The ride is better than stock (I was surprised actually). If you'd like to use the rancho 9000's, I believe the travel on my shocks are front 11" and rear 12". The 3.5" Rancho lift shocks would probably be your best bet.
I'm actually installing my lift kit this weekend (2.5" Rock Krawler Lift). If it goes well, I wouldn't mind helping you out. Although I'm a it far being in the IE. When were you planning on tackling the project?
I have the poison spyder bruiser rear bumper. It has a built-in receiver which is actually a higher class hitch than stock. I've towed a small trailer, hitch style bike rack and a cargo rack attached to the hitch with no problems. The bumper also came with mounting points for the stock 7-way...
