Anyone ever seen a through shaft stabilizer do this? Zero resistance for 1/2-3/4” then it gets firm. Doesn’t matter where it is on the shaft. Centered, off to the right, off to the left, still has the same dead spot.
It was sent into Fox and checked out.
Anyone using a FOX through shaft stabilizer with it relocated on top of the tie rod and the Yetti stuff? Installing everything for a guy on a gladiator and with all the clamps under there it doesn’t look like it’s going to clear everything.
Well after 2 years of fighting with this thing, 1/2 a dozen gear boxes, track bars, stabilizers, tires, wheels, control arms. I’m done fighting it. Yesterday doing 70 on the expressway I hit a small bump, Jeep literally went across 3 lanes of rush hour traffic, over the curb and into the grass...
So I want to start with in the 35+ years I have been playing with modified cars, trucks, and Jeeps,I have probably made 3-4 reviews on things. A little bit of background on myself, I have been doing high end collision and restoration work for 30+ years. I have been building high end drag cars on...
For 1/2 the price I figured it was worth a shot just to see if it was the “factory steel bumper” or the manufacturer of the lights. Guess what, the Amazon lights FIT the steel bumper with zero modifications! It is possible!
So here is what I am trying to do. I’m out in the sticks and 2-3 times a week I just about take out a deer going down my driveway yet alone the roads around the house at night.
I have a set of KC Flex Era 4’s on the bumper and 3’s on the pillars. The 4’s are on aux switch 1 and the 3’s are on 2...
I have been kicking this around trying to figure out how they were able to change the design of the upper joint on the Jl. The TJ and also the JK has a upper joint that allows for 1/4” of vertical movement in the joint. You can actually pull the shaft in and out easily right out of the box...
Dropped the Jeep off last night at the dealer and I pulled the Tazer, plugged the security bypass back in, I did select unmarry BUT I did not do a reboot! I am out of town and I just thought about this, the dealer is replacing the HVAC module tomorrow and I would THINK they have to re program...
Anyone have this issue? It was working fine last week, drove it today and it’s like the heater is on. I checked the fuses, the system seems charged. I tried it again when I got to where I was going and it started blowing cold, turned the jeep off, came back out 20 minutes later and nothing, ac...
Anyone running the Rock Hard skids? I have their control arm and fad skids, also their rock rails. I am looking at going with their under belly skid system. Just wondering if anyone had them, and if so how are they holding up and how was the install.
So after a few months now with the Jeep driving good I finally decided to install the relocation stuff I had sitting around for the Fox ATS stabilizer. I used the Steer smarts bracket on the axel and a 1.75 tie rod clamp from TMR customs. I installed everything and took it for a ride, not really...
So who is running aftermarket tie rods and drag link that will clear stock backspacing? I was running the AEV Pintlers on the Jeep with the Rusty’s steering and was able to make everything work. As I was chasing my wobble issues I sold off the wheels and tires thinking the tires could have been...
I have a set of AEV Pintlers with almost new 315 KO2’s. No TPMs sensors, only the front bead was broken to pull sensors, can be re seated and not need balancing. Tires have between 15-14/32 nds. New is 16/32. There are a few minor scratches but they have been touched up, I have a pint of touch...
So I now have three cast iron boxes. Two have the AA suffix in the part number and I just picked up the new AB Suffix.
Bench testing them the AB box seems to be adjusted the tightest in the over center adjustment. Even more so than the one I have that I adjusted myself. The new box also has a...
Well I decided today I was going to take the next few days and start from scratch. I pulled everything off the front that I touched when I did the lift. The plan was to look at each part and figure out what the hell is causing this. As I started going through the pile of parts I started with the...
