We went with the Allen Sports 322DN Premium 2 Bike Spare Tire Mounted Bike Rack for 18-19 Jeep Wrangler JL with the Thule Tram ski and snowboard carrier. This option doesn't interfere with the back up cam.
My wife contacted Rhino Rack last month asking the same questions. They said that they currently do NOT have a short rack to go with the backbone system in product development. We still went with the backbone system for the ease of use, but with the just the cross bars so we can have our RTT...

As an avid traveler that grew up in Jersey (still have a house in Wildwood), lives very close to Seattle but currently on an extended stay (1 year) in Qatar, i would highly suggest anywhere in Europe...Germany is always nice this time of year with Octoberfest and the Wasen in Stuttgart coming...
