I did the same thing this past November from Ohio, and I was pulling my No Boundaries camper as well. Now I have a "Crawler Hauler" and will be trailering the jeep and camper with my lifted & modified 3500 Ram 5.9 diesel :) Leaving Ohio Friday AM with some friends!
So I did all of my PM to @bluedeviljeep a few weeks ago to prep for Easter Jeep Safari. All of my skid plates are steel. Looking at them I can see where the power coat (M.O.R.E) has been scratched, and where the gold zinc (Metal Cloak) has been scratched. I don't have near the gouging as...
Like others have said, 5 and below are easily done with a stock Rubicon. With a good spotter you could probably do harder ones, but ground clearance and tire size will start to become a limiting factor. There were a few spots on Steel Bender and Metal Masher that I had to rethink my approach...
I have two 4 gallon rotopax containers, got them on their scratch and dent sale. I actually have used them quite a bit on multiday wheeling trips. Sometimes for fuel for the jeep, sometimes for fuel for the camper generator. Right now they live in the back of the jeep, but thinking of adding...
I am heading out with a group from Ohio on 4/8 and will be there for the week. I have been to Moab before (most recently November 2021) and will be running trails when RR4W is not on them. About half of the jeeps in our group have been there before, so we didn't want to pay the extra price for...
Dash is different and while I understand that you wont take it off-road the drive train is different. I don't understand why people put Rubicon or MOAB on a non-trim model. Just my opinion but I hate fake badging.
I have a 2019 MOAB and you have listed some of the items that it came with. It also came with LED tail lights, blind spot assist, backup assist, Dana 44 with limited slip differential, Selec-trac 4 auto transfer case, CV joints for the front axle short shafts, Upgraded Alpine audio with...
Make sure to not splash on Onion Creek. The fine is pretty hefty if you do and some one reports you. Hells & Fins are fun, Chicken Corners has a great picture location on a peninsula cliff, and Poison Spider is a beautiful trail as well. When your out that way (poison spider) I recommend...
After talking to my friend who knows way more about this than me, it doesnt "lock" the torque converter. What it does is it stops the torque converter from spinning so much since it is not hunting for a gear, because you have it "manually" locked to a specific gear. Since it is not searching...
Replace them with a better beam blade like Bosch or Rainex. I have had 0 issues with a replacement blade. Also, did you know that you are supposed to replace your wiper blades every 6 to 12 months.

Jeep has been doing limited color runs for a long time. This makes some of the models more "rare" if they are a limited color. I had to hunt for my Ocean Blue when I wanted one and they were done making them. Basically, if its not white, red, black, or grey order it when its available or be...
That is why I fluid film inside my frame every year. It does not trap moisture, it stays "fluid" like and continually moves inside the frame. I have a wand for my gun that sprays 360 degrees, so it gets the entire inside of the box frame. If there is any rust, it stops it. If there is...
Not sure what the question is. There was an option on the Sahara Rubicon to have an T-Case with an auto 4wd option. If selected you got CV shafts in the front axel. The MOAB trim line came with the option.
Any JLU with the upgraded auto 4WD will have CV in the front. My Moab has them. The seem to be sealed really well. Once they go out I will be slapping some RCV's in the axle :)
So I did not read this anywhere, I was told this by a friend who has been in the Jeep community for decades, even has an Easter egg on the JL for him... But I am a trust but verify kind of person and the proof is in the transmission temps. When the unit is hunting for a gear, the torque...
I use it when I am wheeling. It helps keep the trans temp down since it locks the torque converter. I run 20 to 30 degrees cooler running in "manual mode" than auto in 4L crawling on the trail :)
