I strapped a 14 gallon gas caddy to my roof rack. I pull a trailer so it’s nice to have extra gas. I wish I had had it when I got into California and gas was $5 a gallon and I had filled up the day before for $3.80. Also it’s nice to not have to leave a trip to go who knows how many miles there...
I didn’t mention, I also have a snorkel that runs over the top of the battery and the fuse enclosure. So the Genesis system is kind of out of the mix.
Is it possible to get rid of the auxiliary battery and replace it with a full size battery the same as the main battery. Would that make a difference in the way the batteries are used and would they last longer? I have a fridge and a winch to hook up.
That’s exactly what I was thinking. The down side is you can’t use the existing battery, you’ll have to buy two new batteries plus the $500 plus for the genesis system.
