hello all!
Finally decided on my lift and ordering RK adventure series 12.5” lift.
Anyone have pictures of the 2.5 lift with only 33’s? How bad will it look like I skipped leg day?
I’m really torn on just getting 35’s at the same time. I’m worried the 2.0 will feel sluggish with the 35’s and I...
would be my first suspension upgrade and I am starting to really need it. I have been torn between your company and another for a 2.5” and would be cool to start it off.
I’m probably buying this lift in next 30 days and wanted to check in on how it’s holding up for folks? Also wondering if you did the geometry type brackets? Looking at the 9k setup. Just seems like I can’t beat the value and can’t find complaints.
I really don’t do anything crazy, just...
Thank you for posting, this is exactly the info I have been trying to find. This kit sounds great, but my JL is already heavy with tent, front and rear bumpers. I mainly go overlanding and camping with the wife and kids, I tend to keep it loaded on the weekends.
@Northridge4x4 have you guys had anyone running this lift with more of an overland type setup for weight? Any feedback? The Aev lift is giving non rubicons almost a 4” lift and that more that I want to run for my setup. This lift looks very solid.
Anyone have this lift and taken it off-road while loaded? Wondering how it does with weight. More into overlanding stuff and with full family gear, rtt and steel bumpers.... I’m hefty. Looked at Aev but I don’t want a 4” lift personally.
Getting into overlanding and mostly a hiking person so far. With the roof top tent, fridge and gear for wife and two kids..... I def need stiffer suspension. My concern is I don’t want this lift to be too tall with Just 35’s when I’m not loaded for a trip. I have pretty heavy steel smitty...
Awesome, that’s the deck I was looking at also. Any main reason it was hard to install? I have pulled the headunit out once before when doing amp and sub.
How hard was it to run the line back to the camera? What headunit did you go with and how did it go? I hate not having CarPlay and a tiny screen. I’m guessing the maestro plugin and a new camera would work well.
I bought a set of rubicon take offs and went to swap. They said the tpms sensor wouldn’t work with my JL for some reason. It wouldn’t read it.
Is that normal that unlimited and rubicon have different sensors maybe?
I bought these used and the guy was going to throw the tires on an f150. So...
Guessing you fit them (thanks for asking this).
Did you use your stock lug nuts and did they fit? I’m picking up a set tomorrow. Any idea if you need to do anything to make the tpms sensors work?
Two questions for you guru’s.
1. Ran out of time so for now I just have my sub hooked up on my 5 channel amp and the fix 86. I only grabbed one rear speaker channel to get signal for the sub. Reading directions for fix 86, it sounds like I should grab the left and right. It also mentioned...
One more question (for now)
I have the fix 86 coming tomorrow and I can’t find what is needed online for the install and no videos. I’m doing 4 gauge from the battery back. Do you just put in a 12v distribution block and run like 12? gauge to the fix 86? I’m guessing it’s just power/ground...
Sorry for a redundant question but want to make sure I’m reading it right. I’m keeping the 5.0” PoS for now... but I want to add a 5 channel amp for sub and power stock speakers and some upgraded hertz 3.5”’s in the dash. I ordered a fix 86 already. Car stereo chic blog made a good point that...
