I went from a 2019 JLU 3.6 to a 2021 4xe Rubi. I do notice that the 2.0 engine is much louder than the 3.6.

Mine does the same. I had it in for a DRL recall and I asked the service tech to also check to see if anything was loose down there. He said everything was tight. Guess it’s a Jeep thing.

I thought the 4XE did not have an aux battery. It doesn’t have ESS so why would there be an aux battery?

Check the battery coolant level. Could be running low.

Could be a leak in the EVAP system. It’s still safe to drive the Jeep until the dealership can correct it.

I’ve noticed this as well when I’m driving my Jeep. I’ve never been cut off in my 911. And for reference, I drive both exactly the same way. Lol.

I was sitting in my Jeep idling with the AC on the other day. It worked out to about 1% battery drain every 3-4 mins.

Personally I’ll use 91 because most of my trips are short trips around town. I’ve owned my 4xe for almost a month and the fuel gauge is still at full even though I tend to lead foot it. At this rate, I’ll be filling up once every 9 months.

I don’t get good battery range because I keep smashing the gas pedal.

I was at the dealership today for a test drive and cold started one. It was around 6 degrees celsius. No compressor sound at all.

I wonder if disconnecting and reconnecting the battery will clear your CEL. If you're going to do so, remember to also pull the ICDM fuse (Fuse F09) before you disconnect the positive and negative leads.

I've been seriously looking at the dealer inventory of 4xe's as they are rolling into Canada, but these issues threads are making me reconsider holding off a bit.

Could be a bad aux battery. These have a very high failure rate.

Most of the time when there's an ESS issue, it's related to the batteries.
