It’s normal. I’ve always thought it was rubber and other stuff from the road being kicked up Into the radiator and engine compartment then burning it off when you start the Jeep.

I was hesitant to buy the CoolTech based on comments in this thread, but conveniently enough found a newly posted installation video on YouTube. I haven’t watched it yet, but will probably order the harness and install in the next few weeks.
