I want to improve my ride by getting shocks that are better than stock. My ride height is actually pretty good for my use right now, which is mostly pavement and dirt roads, with the occasional rock crawling trip. I do plan to lift my Jeep at some point, but I need to get my back squared away...

If you have a raw aluminum bumper, did you coat it with anything prior to mounting, or did you just slap it on? How has the bumper held up and if you did coat it, have you had to do any kind of upkeep on it? Thanks for any input.
