Mystery solved. Turns out ...the block heater cable/plug had dropped into the engine compartment and the plug melted against the block until it dropped straight through. :( Why it wasn’t secured properly in the 1st place is now the mystery.

Looking for some help... This morning I found this cable dangling under my 2018 Jeep 2-door JL (2.0L Turbo). The cable is wrapped in loom tubing and has a metal end. It looks like the metal has detached (solder or adhesive gave way), or was pulled off, and it may have suffered damage while...
