It really shouldnt matter what brand you’re getting. Kmc, fuel, black rhino, Hutchinson, method, trail ready etc. aluminum cast is what it is. I’m on my third set and went trail ready this time. Can customize some options and they’re made in the US. Again, I’ve had 3 different brands and they...
If it’s in your price range it’s absolutely the way to go, unless you commute a lot I suppose. It’s hands down my favorite vehicle to drive. In fact, my “daily” is supposed to be my TRX and I literally never drive it, it has under 5k miles in almost two years. That tells you which I prefer
I ran 37’s as a daily for a couple years. Never regretted it. I was 3.5 lift with 5:13’s. It was perfect. I’d personally go AT tire for commuting though. You can still wheel Moab just fine with an AT.
The feedback I’ll provide is watch weight. I was around 3200lbs fully loaded and the towing experience was terrible. 3.6 rubicon with 5.13 gears. Couldn’t hold 70 in a headwind, I sold it and went 392 it bothered me so much. It’s doable, just keep it in mind as you’re deciding what weight you’ll...
I can’t answer on how the wiring aspect plays out here, but just adding the receiver is super simple. It’s 4 bolts. I think it can be done without removing the bumper even, but I was replacing mine so it happened concurrently.
I ordered my 392 right before the 24 was released. I initially thought about switching but for me I prefer my 23. I prefer the grill of the 23, I actually like my manual seats and I hate the new red interior. I went pretty big on my build so all the underneath stuff would be wasted on me. I have...
Fellow x3 owner here. I added an additional crossbar to my roof rack and mounted some rotopax currently and may go with a Rugged box if need be. You could utilize the rear hitch receiver on the rear of the trailer and do a platform style storage on the rear. I do a bike rack back there and it’s...
For what it’s worth, I recently swapped to Currie axles and investigated this as well. I spoke to Currie directly and they adamantly said not to use the z auto/similar device due to it being a pulsating current or what not. I ended up wiring to Aux1 and AUX2 for the lockers. I run a compressor...
I towed my Patriot x3 at roughly 3k-3200k loaded with my 21 rubi 3.6 on 37’s and 5:13’s. It got the job done but hills were slow and there was nothing left if you needed it. I got fed up and went to a 392 which does great, granted I’m pretty heavy with my modifications, but still better. If I...
Sometimes new exhaust smells. Or stickers on hot things smell. I feel like I’ve had this numerous times. Some performance vehicles want a specific mileage break in period before running “launch modes” or performance but not on this rig. My assumption is your fine. Plus you have warranty
