not a movie, but I recently came across this guy's youtube channel, he went from Alaska down to the end of SA, around Africa and other places with his jeep, I'm enjoying his videos:

ugliest thing I've seen in a long time. I like their sedans, the SUV is lame IMO, and this is just plain ugly. Looks like some origami experiment.
Specs are impressive, but the packaging sucks. Looks like something out of an 80es cheap B-movie SciFi flick made in Italy on a frayed shoestring...
reading about this silly "feature" here helped me get out of park with our rented jeep at the car wash in Moab.
One solution I saw here was to use a seat belt extender, a piece that looks like the regular 'lock' you plug your seatbelt in with a seat belt 'anchor' at the bottom. You plug that...
Thanks all, good info and kind of what I thought. I'd not do this (or similar) trails alone, I almost got stuck with my Taco up by teh blue lakes above Hope Valley, that was a bit unnerving and nothing I want to repeat on way more difficult trails. Also I'd think it's a lot more fun with a group...
It'll be a while before I even have my Rubi, let alone try the Rubicon trails, but since it's named after it and it's relatively close and I'm making a list of trails to work up to it, can a stock Rubi do the trail w/o much (or preferably any) damage? It was named after the trail (I believe)...
we rented a sport with 2inch lift and 33s for a week in Moab and did these trails with no problem:
1Gemini Bridges + side trail that gets you under the bridges and Shafer Trail
2Arches park, no off roading
3Onion Creek to the top, fun trail, back down to Fisher Tower for hiking, no off...
I'd just have the insurance of who ever hit me fix everything up to new. Or my insurance, if the other party has none. Can't imagine some rubber piece would do much of anything, aside of probably rubbing off the paint if it touches it. Not something to worry about IMO. Enjoy your new ride!
renting out jeeps in MOAB is like selling crack, I got addicted as well, LOL. We "only" had a lifted sport with larger tires and the sunrider top and it went where ever I pointed it, most fun was any trail that takes longer to drive than walk.
I'm still holding off on ordering, as I don't...
I'll follow this, as I'm also interested in putting something simple together. I was more thinking of an offroad capable trailer with a frame structure on top (or just a lid) and a roof top tent on top, underneath two or 3 compartments on industrial strength drawer sliders, so I can pull out the...
had it on the Jeep we rented for a week in Moab, loved it! It pretty much convinced me to eventually order a hard top for my future Jeep, as I prefer the easy rear access for loading dog and stuff. And in the front seat at least, there's no difference to the soft top, rear of course doesn't get...
talk to your insurance, they should have the best advice on how to proceed. Looking for a lawyer is probably a bit early, hopefully that soccer mom has good insurance and if you're not insured you probably won't need to deal with that.
Did the airbags go off? With front and back damage and...
we rented a sport with the 2.5 Mopar lift and 33 tires in - wait for it - Moab! And it could go places I never though I could go. Including part of Fins'n Things, 3D trail. Didn't have time for Hell's Revenge but I have no doubt it could have done that too (some of the more extreme side...
that's a great camp setup! I'll be getting something like this eventually, I like that with a RTT on a trailer you can still use the Jeep to drive elsewhere during the day and don't have to break up the entire camp.
I'm in the same boat eventually, I think I'll stick with the 3.6 since I plan to turn it into a bit of an overlander and I think there's even more electronic stuff that can go wrong with the 2.0 eventually, not something I want to deal with in the middle of nowhere. I'm probably still a good...
Thanks, I think Django would too (though I'd have to "hard wire" him to something with a harness) and I certainly would. I'll have to check it out at a dealer one of these days, just hate dealing with sales guys, LOL.
keep on trucking and phishing ;-)
you're gonna need a bigger truck... ;-p
Actually one of the things I'm going back and for about what roof eventually to order, we have a dog (45lb and fully grown) that will only ride in the back (I'm switching from a Tacoma because of that, kids are getting too big to have them and the dog on...
