Are you able to start the Jeep even with the ESS battery dead? Mine also died after the Jeep sat around for a month+, but my dealer replaced the battery because there had apparently been a problem with the battery cells from the factory.

I've also noticed that the engine only rev hangs if you're in neutral (and on the clutch). So the way I get it to drop back down is shift the gear lever into whichever gear you want to be in! It's much easier on the ears this way lol

I had a similar issue that would keep coming up randomly, so I took a few videos on my phone each time it happened and showed it to the dealer. They determined the radio needed to be replaced and installed a whole new unit. Might be worth exploring that route for you guys!

Hey all, just wanted to chime in here since I had the exact same issue and got it replaced without issue — The problem was that the lower seat rail needed to be replaced. Also, when they were replacing that, they found that the top seat rail had a stripped bolt and so they replaced that as well...
