  1. Not that it's a contest, but just how many Jeeps have you owned?

I'm on vehicle #57 and 23 of those have been Jeeps. Love 'em, but also love cars in general so I'm always trying out something new and fun.
  2. Will the Bronco cause a price drop for the Wrangler?

That is correct; though to be fair I never said it was on the dealer lot right now. The OP was asking if Rubicon prices might drop (presumably in the future, not necessarily today or right now), so the published pricing of the Bronco seems quite relevant.
  3. Will the Bronco cause a price drop for the Wrangler?

There are already over 150k reservations for the Bronco. Naturally some of those will be cancelled, but certainly there are more to come prior to the actual release. IIRC, Ford is planning to produce 200k Broncos per year, so your 50k number seems quite low. I think Jeep will be forced to...
  4. Will the Bronco cause a price drop for the Wrangler?

Actually, you can. The base 2 door Bronco starts at $28.5k, to which you add $1,495 destination, and then $5k for the Sasquatch package (which gives you the M210 front and M220 rear along with lockers in the front and rear axles and 35" tires). It squeaks in right under $35k.
  5. Q1 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sales Number: 39,668 Units

Seems like the Gladiator cannibalized the Wrangler sales instead of just pulling folks from other mid-size truck manufacturers. This was of course expected to a certain extent, but likely not to this degree. Will be interesting to see what happens the longer the Gladiator is out, and once the...
  6. How much off MSRP for Diesel orders?

I see you're from Ohio...down here in Florida $800-$1000 dealer fees are the norm. It's extremely rare to find a Jeep dealer with fees less than that, and generally the ones that have lower fees won't negotiate as hard on the price. I hate it, but that's how it is down here.
  7. 2018 Left Overs

You should to have a quick discussion with the finance folks if you're thinking of leasing a 2018. I could be completely wrong, but they may very well have discontinued lease support for 2018s. Even if they are still leasing, the residual values are probably terrible compared to what they were...
  8. New Rubicon for 42k

Thanks for the tip! I'm over in Tampa and looking for just about the exact same vehicle. Did they handle shipping arrangements or did you have to do that? The $1k shipping isn't bad at all considering that's the doc fee at most FL dealers.
  9. JL Lease pricing/California preferred.

Leasing rules vary by state. In most states, tax is levied on the monthly payment; in VA/GA tax is levied upfront on the sale price; and in NY/NJ/MN tax is levied upfront on the total lease payment.
  10. JL Lease pricing/California preferred.

I'm not sure if you've just never been through it personally, but I can assure you that (in general) putting money down on a lease is a no-no. As others have mentioned, when a leased vehicle is a total loss, you're not getting any piece of that check back personally...it's all going to the bank...
  11. JL Lease pricing/California preferred.

Other than first months, tax, etc. don't ever put money down on a lease. If you put $5k down, then drive off the lot and total the vehicle the next week, your $5k is gone...insurance will reimburse everyone else, but you'll lose whatever $$ you put down. Ask anyone who leases regularly, putting...
