Read this and was curious.....if your battery is dead you pry off the covers and drop aspirin in the cells. This causes chemical reaction and car starts. This also causes major harm to battery. How quickly will battery become totally unuseable?
Newbie when it comes to automotive. Change all fluids, brakes, etc. I figured new shocks would be easy. 2 bolts.LOL
Started in rear. Removed shocks easily with tires on. New ones (5100s)came with a compression band but were still too long. That's when the good times started to roll...
I have new rear shocks. Front shocks are on back order due to supply chain issues. Is it ok to replace rear and leave original equipment on front while I await arrival of new fronts? These are shocks for no lift.
I want to change my brake pads on my JL. First time I will be working on brakes in my life! (Please set up a GO Fund Me page for my future ex wife's support). There are lots of videos on the JK but none on the JL. Are they the same? Will I need the same tools? Should I prepay for a funeral?
I took the leap of faith and changed the fluids in both diffs today! No one was killed and the Jeep is still in tact. Amazing to be able to do stuff without lifts and jacks (my wife held the vehicle in the air for me). There is only 11k on the clock but I heeded the warnings here about...
When someone offers their Rubicon 'take offs' for sale...for instance KO2's....will that rubber fit on a Sahara wheel....or will I need to get Rubicon wheels? Sometimes I see them offered rubber only and sometimes mountain on Rubi wheels. Ok, I have donned my Asbestos suit and oxygen mask...
Again, please forgive my ignorance in such matters. If I had to chose ONE to work on my Jeep...which one would do me the most good...and why? Thanks so much in advance for your help.
I do my own oil changes and really want to graduate to differential, manual transmission, and transfer case maintenance. I need your help!! What sockets do I need for the various plugs? I have an LSD. What weight fluid goes in that kind of rear diff? And finally, how much fluid do I need to...
Ok....what is the DEFINITIVE answer regarding charging our batteries? Do we charge them together or separated? At what voltage? How do we jump start when the aux battery poops its pants? How do we jump start when there is a bad cell in the main and it takes a dump? What does JEEP want us to...
If my tire pressure goes below the threshold and the TPMS alert goes off....when the tires warm up will the alert go away on its own or do I need to add air? Asking for a friend.
