I bought a néw Ford f 250 and through the Ford app I can start the truck, see where it’s at, see the fuel level, tire pressure, mileage, etc. my guess is that it has a “tracker” which allows the truck to communicate with something to be able to send me the data. I think a previous post the guy...
  2. Off-roading with a manual transmission?

I always have preferred a manual for off roaring but as my grandpa and old time jeeper would say, “There both better.”

According to the service manager at a local Toyota dealer, Tacoma’s built after 2020 gave plenty of issues. I wonder if those Tacoma’s with the issues were built in the USA and pre 2010 were built in Japan?????

I enjoyed this thread and got a good laugh at Tankers input. He is a good writer. I feel for him and the situation. So frustrating and maddening, but kept his cool. I have had several Jeep’s over the years and each and every one of them has had issues, some factory some not but issues...

  11. What is the worst dealer behavior that you've observed?

I took my 2005 built LJ into a jeep dealer in our states capital so that they could do about 3k worth of camshaft related work. When I picked it up the cruise control wasn’t working. I called them and they told me to bring it in and they would “look at it” but didn’t think it was their...
  12. Opinions on the manual transmission

No issues. Took it in for the clutch recall and they said it was fine. Upgraded gears to 5.13 and the clutch works even better now. Best feeling clutch I’ve had in a Jeep.
  13. Opinions on the manual transmission

I experienced the same thing for reverse and taking off, until I changed the gears to 5.13s. Reverse is still a little weak but o really much better. I also have 37s and a lot of additional weight from the installed armor, winch, front bumper, tires, etc. I did remove the back seat as I...
  14. Opinions on the manual transmission

If you go above 4.88 you will need a tazer as the dealership cannot set above 4.88 for the gearing.
  15. Opinions on the manual transmission

I have a jlur on 37s, 5.13 gears and the clutch has never slipped and the gearing is awesome. Did I say the gearing was awesome? 1st gear is where I start off. I hear about these clutch problems but have not experienced anything of the sort, although I only have about 4K miles. I use all my...
