Thanks! It's been awhile but I think I ordered at announcement. Build number #0003 on the RTT . Superlite is great so far. It holds up well (50+ mph wind gust) and loving the quick setup and break down. First time owning a wedge RTT.
Rotopax spare mount was created by a member here. Not sure...
I overland with my 2 door JL with RTT and Gobi Rack. Love the 2 door look but sometimes wish I had more storage space. I just installed a fridge slide and it takes up more room than I expected.
Month long trip sounds amazing!
I had the Kukenam 3 and Low Pro 2. Kukenam 3 was spacious but bulky and heavy. Low Pro 2 was only 105 pounds but doesn't provide much head room. I been wanting to go a to clamshell design because it requires less foot print and faster setup time.
I just installed my GFC Superlite RTT on my 2door JL with Gobi Rack. Did a short weekend in Malibu camping and I'm super happy with it. We had 55+mph gust winds and held up better than my other tents. Transition from two different Tepui models. Can't wait to go overlanding with it.
The Roofnest Eagle's are nice. That was my first hard top choice but decided to continue to stick with soft. $$$$$ I can use the money saved on outfitting my adventure rig.
Maybe try a tailgate or tow hitch basket for storage...
I believe the racks and RTT is 138LB. The bars are rated for 220Lb. We put around 450LBs about static weight in total. Bars and roof had no issue. Also took it on 14-hour road trip. I just sold this Tepui RTT and putting up a newer model Tepui RTT this weekend. I will post with pictures. It's...
It is a classic! Found it in a old storage that someone left behind. I also have the modern day version of it (from REI) but this one looks so much cooler.
Thanks! :)
Actually I think its rated for 220 pounds.

The tent and bedding is 125 pounds.
I'm selling this Tepui tomorrow and switching to the new Tepui Ayer 2 Low Pro. It's...
I got the Thule Wingbars Evo with 300R foot packs. They seem to do just fine. I traveled 14 hours with it on the roof and had around 400 pounds (2 adults + tent) of static weight.
I have Thule Wingbars Evo with 300R gutters. They're pretty clean but they do have a loud wind base sound with Thule snowboard racks with no snowboards going over 70mph. No issues with snowboards and Tepui RTT.
