  2. Rear hardtop leaking down inside of glass

Anyone have the dealer use a spray aerosol can to clean the seal when it was removed? Just picked up mine and there is a white stain/residue all around where the seal is at... Also looks like the seal is different. The previous weather seal had more lines and grooves in it. this one looks to be...
  3. Amplifier and speaker upgrade, Installation overview and lessons learned

Over the weekend I spent a lot more time installing a simple sound upgrade than I imagined, wasn't too simple. Original plan, just replace the front dash speakers. I got too invested and decided to add a 5 channel amp and a subwoofer. For about a hundred bucks the local radio shop would have...
  4. Installing Kicker DSC 350 help.

I just ordered some Kicker SC series 3.5 which shows the dame depth, they are not meeting the instal depth requirements, or the speaker is "too big" to fit. I asked them (Crutchfield) about it and said it was too close to their minimums to show compatible. I wanted to try the KS series since I...

  10. Control Arm Question

A note on the part numbers. The FCA part number is 12345678RR. The RR is typically a revision. Example AA then AB. The second group is the manufacturer number. 61177 in this example. The final numbers will change. This is a date code. Typically a Julian date. DDDY. Meaning the day of the...
  11. Has one person ever damaged their hard top drip rails

Based on how several, including myself, have supported the top while off using straps that technically are loaded on the rails. They should be able to handle some weight without worry. The top weight is about 150 pounds. Four contact points spread this weight out to about 35-40lbs on a 1-2in...
  12. Issue Bulletin: Frame Weld Inspection/Repair (Rust, Pinholes, Alignment)

Not sure without confirming with someone in the FCA welding group, but a lot of processes for welding refer to AWS D1.1 specification. Here is a link for an older version to give more insight to good and bad welds. Knowing a certified weld inspector can help determine a structurally good or bad...

  15. STING GRAY Wrangler JL Club

I have only had mine a week, but here is what dirt looks like on it lol. I removed the stickers and it made a few swirls using too abrasive and dry towel to remove some of the sticky residue, but only could see it with a flashlight at the right angle in the garage. Outside do not see any...

  19. 3.6 JLU, New, Idle vibrates the antenna and feels rough for new Jeep.

Just bought a new 2019 JLU with the v6. I notice the engine idle vibration is a lot more noticable then what i expected. I see the antenna wobble from the idle. It isnt constant but most of the time it shakes pretty wildly. The antenna is secured pretty well, i feel it in the cabin. Not real bad...
  20. Rough idle, 6 speed manual. TSB address Auto only.

It does, thank you! I know the new may need to work itself out, but expected a lot smoother idle. The vehicle is a smaller frame and less "meat" then my other vehicles to absorb the sound. I can see my antenna wobble, my XJ idled smoother so it is confusing..
