I’m looking to re-gear my 21 JLUR (auto/V6), and would like to know if any of you have any recommended shops in western Wisconsin or the Twin cities metro area. Thanks!
I’ve done some searching on here, but couldn’t really find anything. Anyone have any recommendations for a good shop to do a re-gear in western WI or the Minneapolis metro area? JLUR on 37s needing 4.88s or probably 5.13s.
thanks!
I forgot to take any real measurements, but by looking at pictures, I would say a little more than 3”, but I was light. Now either the winch and steel bumpers and filling up the inside with crap, I will probably be right at the 2.5.
I had no rattle after I installed it, then after about 100 miles I had one start. I had to do a minor adjustment to the turnbuckle and all is good now. It was somewhat of a pain to instal but I am very happy with it overall.
Thank you! It does really stiffen everything up, but I am on the heavier side, so it’s not terrible. I did drop my PSI down to 28-30, and that has helped. I think that if you don’t plan on getting heavier, springs/shocks could help, but then you have even more added costs! I had the AEV...
They almost felt like i couldn't get them balanced correctly. A local shop (with a personal relationship, so i trusted them) said each tire needed over 18oz of weight, so they then recommended balance beads. They put those in and some days it rode great, other days it shook like a mother...
Less than 3000 miles on tires, one with no miles. I didn’t like the ride, and decided to go with Toyos. Nothing wrong with the tires. $150/tire, local pick up only - just over the border in WI from Minneapolis/St Paul.
Yep, that’s the place. I’ve travelled a lot, but that’s still one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! I’m sure I’m a little biased as well since I grew up on them!
Originally from Niagara, now over in western WI, but I get back to the area often as we still have some land there. Actually planning a trip to explore the lesser travelled forest service roads/trails in the Chequamegon National Forest two weeks from now. Also planning to get a steak in Aurora!
I don’t know if you guys know this, but I was told that to avoid any of the previously stated issues, to just mix a little oil in your gas and you never have to worry about changing your oil!
We ordered netting from @Raingler Nets for our JLR. It's been too cold up here to install yet, but they are made extremely well, and they look great! My hope is that they will also keep the kid's toys from causing accidents!
