So far no issues. I guess there is enough turbulent air back there which keeps things cool enough.

Also have this kit installed. One thing to keep an eye on is that the included exhaust heat shield vanished after a year. The clamps were still there holding what remained of the shield, but everything else had rusted away. I live in Colorado... dry climate, no salt, no mudding, garage kept.

My goal was not to disrupt the paint/coating on the top, "visible" portion of the bumper because it would be harder to blend/match. Obviously there will be bare metal on the back edge and the "inside" areas after trimming, but since these areas cant' be seen, I wasn't as worried. Flat black...
