Here's a photo from this weekends adventure to the top of Turtle Mountain in New Brunswick, Canada. A very technical trail that will show you just how capable these Jeeps really are.
Awesome. I took mine in yesterday because a "whine" developed recently and they came to the same conclusion. They have the parts on order and it's all covered under warranty.
With the top open on the trails (and with the Roof top tent towards the back and a platform directly over the front seats... it's great (no wind noise at low speed). With it open around town... it's a bit louder but still fine. Highway... the wind noise is really loud. It's fine with the roof...
I don't suppose you have any photos of this with the new tires BEFORE the lift went on? (as I just ordered my 35's and this is what my jeep looks like (wheels, colour, etc.). Thanks.
I'm in Canada and it's mid-February... so it will be a few more months until I'm driving around with the top open. I did have it open yesterday just for a minute but I was parked in my driveway. I'll take pics when the temperatures go up... but I don't expect any significant wind noise as the...
Those are the Smittybilt Atlas fold out steps (complete with bottle opener). They are extremely sturdy platform steps that fold down and allow you to step on them while accessing your top roof rack cargo.
Hope this helps.
Happy to finally have my Gobi rack installed. It was about a 16 week wait for this... but I'm so happy with the results. Can't wait for spring so I can put my Roof Top Tent on and do some overlanding in the new rig!
UPDATE: The Teflon Tape did the trick. The rubbing sound is completely gone. I ran 2 strips down the rear tailgate where the rubber from the window was touching. Absolutely no rubbing sounds anymore. I hope that Jeep addresses this on future builds.

Hi Alex, I just ordered some Teflon tape from amazon and I'm hoping that will fix the issue as per this thread. I'll let you know if it does and you can chime in when others have this issue or let Jeep know to advise Sky One Touch owners.
I have a sound in my One Touch Sky Top jeep as well... coming from the rear of the vehicle. I've been trying to figure it out for the past week or so and last night, I had my girlfriend drive the jeep with me in the back (with the seats folded down so I could move around to find the source of...
Ok. I have had this same sound for a while now with my sky one roof Jeep and it would go away and then come back. Now it’s getting pretty bad. I had my girlfriend drive the Jeep while I got in the back with the seats folded down so I could pinpoint the location the sound is coming from. It...
I installed my atlas steps yesterday. Save yourself time, headache and stripped bolts and do the following:
- go buy a 3/8” breaker bar and a 3/8” T50 torx bit.
- Hammer the bit into the bolt (don’t worry, you’re not using them anymore). You’ll see it go in with each little tap.
- attach the...
