  1. Nitro Helix Helical Gear Diff for JL

@AdamG, I also have 35s and 4.56 gearing. For the front axle, I have factory M186 with open diff. If I install Eaton Truetrac on front, is the diff deck hight same? - can I just move gear ring to new diff? Is this how you installed it? Or did you remove old diff with the factory ring and...
  2. Nitro Helix Helical Gear Diff for JL

No issues with Nitro so far and a very good wheeling experience on Drummond Island Marble Head loop trail. I had chance to speak with Eaton rep at Silver Lake Jeep Invasion event last weekend and he had rear Truetrac on display and a front one in catalogue. It sounds like Truetrac has a little...
  3. 2.0 Engine Skid Plates

Does anyone know how are these engine skid plates tested? What impact they can sustain? If I put a jack under the engine skid, can I lift the jeep that way? IMHO that would happen when I get on a rock. I am asking because it is hard to attach front part of engine skid and manufacturers have...
  4. Thank you.

Shout to @Northridge4x4 for great service I just received. I ordered Mishimoto catch can for 2.0T JL. When I unpacked it, it was obvious that the parts are for 3.6 L engine. This was in its original package from Mishimoto with 2.0 sticker on the package. Northridge team immediately responded to...
  5. Are lights coming in?

@ORACLElights - are these new heated lights shipping now? If not, can you please drop a message here when they start shipping. Thanks.
  6. Nitro Helix Helical Gear Diff for JL

10K miles later, everything works fine, no issues whatsoever. I tried this on gravel and mud and it works well. I did not have rear tire in the air yet (or I did not notice). The bias for helical diff should be around 1:3, I don't know what is it for this one. The instructions would be the same...
  7. Nitro Helix Helical Gear Diff for JL

I searched but Yukon does not make helical diff carrier for Dana M220 rear axle. Only Nitro Gear makes them. This is why I was hesitant and started this thread. So far no regrets, 900+ miles works fine. If anything goes wrong I'll post here.
  8. Nitro Helix Helical Gear Diff for JL

So I pulled the trigger here and installed this carrier swapping out the original Trac-Lok at 47K miles. Nitro Gear shipped next day and I got the carrier after few days. So far so good, 600 miles with this new diff. There is only carrier in the box. I am showing two carrier bearings from Spicer...
  9. Nitro Helix Helical Gear Diff for JL

    I don't think they make 32-spline carrier for m220.
  10. Nitro Helix Helical Gear Diff for JL

Yeah I saw this article but this just about the only article out there and they referenced it on Nitro site :)
  11. Nitro Helix Helical Gear Diff for JL

Have you used Nitro products? I am really interested in some feedback. The other thing is that from their Facebook page it seems like delivery times are 4-6 months. So I am not sure about this.
  12. Nitro Helix Helical Gear Diff for JL

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with Nitro Helix torsen differentials. I am looking at this link: https://www.nitro-gear.com/Nitro-Helix-LSD-M220-p/tors-m220.htm I was waiting for Eaton to come up with the diff like that one but Eaton 917A736 is still not available though the part...
  13. Sahara - lockers and re-gear with LSD and Selec-Trac

Man, I can't resist responding, this is EXACTLY my plan from day one. Front lockers, SelecTrac in the middle and LSD in rear. Living in Chicago area we often have dry ice-patched roads in winter and central differential is a must-have. I just can't manually switch 2H/4H every time I see ice in...
  14. How Can We Help?

Hi Benny, looks like Mopar winch mount 82215182AB is on back-order, do you know when will you have it? Thanks!
  15. Any way to tell when the BSG system is active?

I was wondering the same and also it would be nice to have indication of 48v battery charge. Does anyone know if e-Torque works in extremely low temperatures?
