  1. Are you all using Premium gas ?

My understanding was that the engine computer is set up to run on 87, and anything above that is a waste of money. I've been running 87 on my 3.6 for 2.5 years with no issues...
  2. Oil Change...debacle

I had an oil change nightmare also. The mechanic cranked down on the filter so much he broke the O-ring. Oil was everywhere, top to bottom, front to back. I dropped the Jeep off, picked up a loaner and it took them a week to get it cleaned up. Lesson learned. Now, after every oil change, I start...
  3. No Jeep waves here :(

Yes, but the waves are less frequent than other areas in NY. The NYC/LI area has so many Mall Crawler Wranglers on the road, very few wave. Go upstate or out of state where there are fewer on the road, I get a wave back almost 100% of the time. At least that's my experience. Just keep driving...
  4. Current music in your Jeep?

    Elevation Worship
  5. Mopar Satin Grille for Jeep Wrangler

I found that a rattle can of Plastidip worked just fine, gave the same result, and cost much less...
  6. Passenger A Pillar Wind Noise

Since day 1 my JL has had awful wind noise coming from the passenger A pillar. I've read that others have the same issue. Today a fellow JL owner told me that he went to lower his windshield for the first time and discovered that the passenger A pillar bolt that holds the windshield in was...
  7. Win a Front Runner roof rack for your JL or JT from Northridge4x4!

Jeep has comms and a flag, but it still needs a rack!!!!
  8. Sun visor mirror

Thanks! I took it to my local dealer (Huntington Jeep, LI NY) and they replaced the visor. Nestor and the Huntington Jeep crew are the best!
  9. Sun visor mirror

My wife just lowered the passenger sun visor and the vanity mirror fell out of it, and won't snap back into place. Anyone else had this issue?
  10. Is the steel Mopar Bumper worth replacing with an aftermarket one?

Save your money to spend on other Jep stuff
  11. What warranty work have you needed?

Purchase December 26, 2018... Center console latch Steering stabilizer Now a passenger side water leak, front and rear, wet carpet I had to lemon law my JK because it always leaked big time, I sure hope this isn't a repeat.
  12. Blue or green....

If you're smart, it's whatever your wife says it is.
  13. Daily Driver- Wrangler JL 2019-yes or no.

Love my JL as a DD. However, on a long trip, 4 hours is about all my back can take without a break, I wish the seats were just a tad better. Then again, at 64 years of age, my back does best in a recliner!
  14. Price just went up, again.

Get the Rubi you want, shop around. The deals are there.
  15. LED'S run too cold!

Yes, LED's ice up, there's plenty of info on previous threads. Buy a set of halogen aux lights and mount on the front, or get LED's with heaters. 75%+ of my driving is in conditions without snow, so I'll take the better night driving with LED's and put up with the times when it's snowing.
  16. LED headlights in winter?

I've had major issues in the North East with buildup. Either get heated headlights, or install a pair of halogen type aux lights that will melt snow in heavy weather.
  17. Question for Bestop Sunrider owners

IMHO, there is no difference. The JL's have wind noise coming from the passenger side A pillar that will drown anything else out. I close my Sunrider if I'm going to be traveling over 45 mph. I had multiple emails back and forth with Bestop regarding a speed limit to which the Sunrider can be...
  18. Which has the smoothest ride Sport, Sahara, or Rubicon?

The smoothest ride in a Jeep is the one on a newly paved highway. Take it offroad and enjoy the rock n roll!
