Awesome!!. Thank you! I see you have the passenger side. I'm debating on which side to get. Since I sleep in my rig, it makes sense to go with the passenger side (the wide side of sleeping is on the passenger and gear along the drivers side). Only thing is the tailgate is opposite and right in...

I think I was at 5k when I got my first oil change. My favorite favorite part was, took it to a dealership...got it free because of the Jeep Wave thing etc. Went camping on the weekend I got it changed, drove about a week and then I noticed a black spot on the concrete at work driving home one...
Nice build. How is the batwing awning working out? I'm wanting one but I'm trying to find a frugal solution on how to mount it with removable roof crossbars. I'm not ready to drill into my hardtop in case down the the line, I get another JL and can just swap because the gear now days is $$$...
That makes sense! Like if you have a cargo tub or something, its easier to just unbolt the rack and then off with the goods! I swear this world :( I'm debating on getting the Mopar or the Rhino Rack vortex R110. The mopars look like the stick out on the sides of the vehicle more than the rhino...
How much does the tent weigh? and...is it hard to take off and on? The only problem with a tent is that my rig is my daily driver...going to work with a tent on top would be kind of weird...plus the gas mileage. They are soo cool though.
Thats soo cool! I love it. I'm not at that level yet but when I do, definitely! Been on one tour so far. Going on the next in a week so we shall see. If I run out of gas, you will be it :)
To expand on this...the weird thing I encounter is...what? you sleep in your Jeep? Even my hard core camping friends kind of look at me strange. Its probably a stigma thing...you are homeless if you sleep in your car kind of thing...but if you pitch a tent right beside it, you are not. its...
Perfect. I didnt even notice. No offense but I love it. I'm all about the stock stance. Little be it known, most state parks/national forests measure from wheel track. The new JL is just over the limit by fractions but when you put sorry about your d*ck bro tires on, its over.
I like how you didnt go to the wheels...its more about the rig as a whole/purpose. I'm trying to fight off the "I got a Jeep so I need big tires to get only 1 more inch of clearance" thing. Its tough. I am enamored about overland/usefulness.
In my opinion, its part marketing/part real. I totally believe its your choice in a vehicle in America that shows who you are. It also depends on where you live. I live in the city so my perception is "he doesn't drive a mercedes/BMW/whatever is cool on facebook he is not worthy of my time". I...
Thats so sad and unfortunate. So the point of this thread is a fellow jeeper had an unfortunate demise or is the Jeep unsafe and we all should sue FCA for making a crappy product. It happens to all vehicles...Im sorry. Its physics. Not a super bowl ad.
That's so cool! I like the rear seat delete. How much have you modified the exterior/suspension to get you there? I agree totally with the occasional tent...its just part of camping, you got to have it.
