I want to install these rigid d series pro lights onto the jeep rear bumper. I want to use them daily as reverse lights, but I also want to be able to manually turn them on with my oem aux panel. The lights are 2.14 @ 14VDC (30 watts) per light. I have two lights. Dan was saying that he tried...
Anyone know how many amps the white/orange wire can take? My new rigid D series pods are 2.14 amps each and I got a pair, so I'm hoping to wire both rigids into the white/orange wire, then use (1) Roadmaster 792 Hy-Power Diode. But if that white/orange wire can't handle 4.28 amps, then I'm gonna...
i read that whole 38 page thread....wow good info, but it took me all day :)
@Dan S, if the rigid lights drew too much when you spliced into the wire behind the tail light, does that also mean the draw will be too much if i splice into the white/orange on the 7 pin by the hitch?
Okay, so what i'm hearing is that the rigid d series pods draw too much power to splice them into the reverse light wire. And I hear that a good work-around is to splice them into the tow package wires. Good thing i have the oem tow package. I just found a thread where @Rhinebeck01 was talking...
Wish I'd found this thread 3 weeks ago. I've also got the LOD shorty bumper with tire carrier. I just got a set of rigid d series pro pods for the bumper. My goal is to splice the pods into the reverse lights so the pods come on when in reverse. But I also want to be able to control them them...
i've got the tazer and the AAL highline lights. didn't buy the harness from AAL. Had the LED package on my jeep before installing the AAL highlines. I still get the error message and I've done the whole process 3 times now
Well, i went with LOD. It should arrive in 4-6 weeks. The best price I could find was through Morris4x4. LOD's prices were much higher than Morris. So I asked LOD if they'd price match and they said no. Doesn't make any sense to me. I wonder how the LOD owners would feel if they knew this.
I've got 37" toyo MTs with true beadlocks...so heavy. Stock plastic bumper with sensors is on the JL and no hinge reinforcement has been done, so I'm trying to get a rear bumper with tire carrier quickly before the tailgate starts to sag. Looking at these. I feel like these are all comparable...
Do you mind sharing which part you repurposed for this? I also did the AAL chop kit and I hung onto the old parts. I also notice they flap too much for my taste. I got the retention hardware kit and I highly recommend it...much stronger than those white clips.
I bought a two pack of these maxboost mounts from Amazon. I unscrewed the rubber prongs on the back and then dremmeled off a little lip on the back. I then stuck it to my jeep's ac vent with the supplied 3m tape. It's worked like a charm in my Cherokee and JL. I'm shocked at how good the 3m tape...
So, disconnect the main battery, remove the battery, then disconnect the secondary battery??? Edit: because you can't access the secondary battery unless you completely remove the main battery.
I just wired my cb radio to factory aux 3 without unhooking the battery. No sparks. I did a bunch of research before doing it. Jeep was off, aux 3 was off. I think it's fine. I made sure not to let any wires touch metal or eachother.
Note: we have two batteries in the JLs. One main battery and...
I'm having the ST3 kit installed and I'm doing some research on how other people like it. I see you've asked a few times about the long arm systems. Why do you want long arms? Will I want them too after I get the ST3 kit? I asked TF if there's anything else I'm gonna want after the ST3 install...
I want to permanently mount my CB radio inside my center console. How do I power the radio?
I have a 2019 JLUM with aux switches. I have a Uniden 520 cb radio that has 1 black and 1 red wire coming from the back of the radio. The only power source inside the center console is a USB port.
I...
