  1. Guys, Can We Still Be Friends?

Beautifulā€”had a Mustang in similar paint. Also, I can be honestā€”I looked at the Bronco Raptor. But if youā€™re going to get a Bronco, the only proportions that worked for me was the 2-door. Awesome look. I also agree with a lot of the marital adviceā€”weā€™re on 20 years this year, so I like to...
  2. Guys, Can We Still Be Friends?

Still laughingā€”thanks guys. So the story is: No kids, but I had a WBSP Challenger I picked up last summerā€”and the two door. I just couldnā€™t continue to drive the Challenger down the dirt road, and roll it to the back of the garage during the 8 months of winter here in Alaska. This came up...
  3. Guys, Can We Still Be Friends?

Guysā€”I couldnā€™t help myself. I still maintain 2 doors is the way, but I canā€™t have both-and keep the wife!
  4. JLUR Manual Transmission Mopar Remote Start Install

Iā€™m in Alaska, so a remote start is a needed luxury. I installed one on my manual JL with cell phone capability as well. Lessco Electronics. He programs and pre-wires as much as he can and ships it out to you. Took me about 2-3 hours for install, but I took my time. All in all I tied into...
  5. Jeep temperature rating

Iā€™m in Alaska. It will be fine. At -40 the suspension is rough, and the clutch can be lethargic. But its fine. If you plan to leave it outside over night without a block warmer, itā€™s gonna be a tough start, but it will be fine.
  6. Front windshield defrost FAIL

Iā€™m in Alaska. User error. It keeps up in blizzards and the -50 temps. Itā€™s not a BMW, but we donā€™t see many BMWs on the trail either. Itā€™s a give and take-and I can tell you after driving every interation of Wrangler (and before they were Wranglers), FCA nailed the JL. Iā€™m not a fan boy...
  7. What did you do WITH your Jeep today.

Took it up into the Yukon.
  8. What did you do TO your Jeep JL today?

XLMOJITO, Where did you source the tubing and what size? I had it in my amazon cart awhile back and the wife deleted it ā€ā™‚ļø. Iā€™d appreciate the info!
  9. Steering wheel wearing out

My wife's new Elantra had this issue a couple of years ago. Replaced under warranty no questions asked. Never had an issue again. Wife uses lotion and such--suspected that might be the case, but it never occurred on the replacement steering wheel.
  10. Nice and warm this morning......

Amateurs I think the screen or sensor wonā€™t go below -40... ask me how I know
  11. JK to JLU—Love it!

XJRider, I couldnā€™t agree more. I feel like people want Jeeps to ride and sound like a BMW. Itā€™s never going to happen. They are purpose built vehicles. Iā€™m big on buying equipment for the mission at hand. I have a 3/4 ton diesel thatā€™s only purpose in life is to tow. Adventure motorcycle...
  12. JK to JLU—Love it!

Guys- Thanks for the warm welcome. Also, sorry I forgot the Merry Christmas and happy holidays part! Nice rigs guys! Iā€™m actually happy I didnā€™t modify the JK as I would have lost the money for sure on such a short turn around. Wife isnā€™t going to like the plans for this one though. Dan, we...
  13. JK to JLU—Love it!

Hey guys! New to the JLU but not new to Jeep. Ive had a couple to include an ā€˜85 CJ7 that I restored. I traded in the JK Rubicon for this, and had taken an 8 year break from Jeeps after I discovered German engineering! I rode in a buddies JK and was blown away by how far they had come since...
