  1. STING GRAY Wrangler JL Club

    There's my "Gray Goose"!
  2. DIY Hardtop hoist ideas - brainstorming

@RAZA I put the pool noodles on for my personal satisfaction. The support rods come with rubber covers to prevent dings etc. All the yellow is a rubberized paint. I don't have a concrete pad or a garage. So, as long as I am careful and mindful of positioning, and balance, it works really well...
  3. DIY Hardtop hoist ideas - brainstorming

I do have the headliners. Dale, the owner, has addressed the headliner issue to my satisfaction. There is ultimately going to be some small amount of contact, but it is minimal, especially when you pay attention to how the hard top rests on the jack. The rear window seal was also a concern for...
  4. Top Hoist

It's not really a hoist, but I have been using the Freedom-Jack. It works pretty good, did not cost a ton, and generally takes me about 15 minutes to take the top off with no assistance.
  5. Hardtop rain gutter drains into cabin

The passive aggressive is strong here...dude, your superior helpfulness with functional suggestions on solving an issue that bother people (but apparently not you) is on point. I mean, looking back at your responses clearly indicate that you are a masterful creator of ideas and a flowing font of...
  6. Hardtop rain gutter drains into cabin

That is genius. Looks like I have my next mod!
  7. Hardtop rain gutter drains into cabin

An attachment to redirect or block the water from the front opening of the gutter; that does not look like a wad of gum. C'mon man, if I knew how to do that kind of stuff, or had the time, I would be selling the crap out of it to people like me.
  8. Hardtop rain gutter drains into cabin

I think someone crafty with fiberglass could make an aesthetically pleasing, yet functional solution.
  9. JL owners with dogs

My best friends love going for rides, specially when I pick them up from doggy jail a little after sunrise for running around town looking for new friends to pet them!
  10. 2018 Wrangler JLU reverse lights in LED tail lights not bright enough on ground

That is a good idea. Thanks for the picture! I'll be doing this very soon. It can also double as am effective tailgater repellant.
  11. DIY Hardtop hoist ideas - brainstorming

I recently purchased the Freedom-Jack, to use with my shop crane. I do not have a garage, so this works out great. Plus I still have the option to use my shop crane for other jobs. Not just lifting my top.
  12. New Tires & Maybe Rims - No Lift

How are y'all liking the ride and performance so far? I love the look of the 33"s with no lift on the JLU. I am looking to do the same. I am curious though, how it affects the off-road performance. Specifically in regards to the vehicles ability to travers mud and creeks.
  13. Jeep Wrangler JL Stock Sound System

I installed polk audio amp, sub, and speakers. Got caught in many storms, soaked in a bog for 3 days once...never had any trouble. I'll be buying polk audio speakers again, reusing my amp and sub from my jeep tj on my new jlu. Sounds great with the top on or off!
  14. Freedom Jack Review for All New 2018 Wrangler JL

A member PM'd me, and stated that russjeep had been banned. No reason as to why he was banned was given. That member may not have known what the reason was. I have since ordered a freedom jack, and will post my own reviews of the device in due time.
  15. Freedom Jack Review for All New 2018 Wrangler JL

How does this work if your hardtop has the insulation inserts?
  16. Engine oil type and amount

I can confirm that the Jeep Wrangler JLU Sport S takes 5 quarts. I went for my first oil change (thanks Jeep Wave!) Yesterday. The dealer put 6, I got back to work, and on a hunch decided to check my oil. Sure enough, it was over. I called the dealership back and they told me 6 was correct. I...
  17. JLU (4DR) FS Roam Steps Used LIKE NEW and Passenger Side Step NEW

Here is the before and after on those ROAM side steps. I have not installed the LEDs (yet) It is going to be a project for a warmer day.
  18. Polk Audio speakers

I used polk audio speakers in my 2004 Wrangler X paired with a kenwood aftermarket head unit. The sound was amazing, even with the top off. I plan on using Polk Audio speakers in my 2018 JLU to replace the factory speakers in the dash (upper and lower) and the sound bar. Has anyone done this...

How was wiring up the lights? Do you have a link to a diagram or write up on how to do it? EDIT: Never mind, I found the link a little further down the forum. Your Jeep looks great by the way!
