I change my oil when the Jeep tells me to ~8k but that's too long for a rotation. The stock tires on my '17 Rubi are cupped because I waited to do it with oil changes. Might not be so bad on an AT but I will do it every 4k now so I do the oil every other rotation.
I have little to no experience with any of these so treat this all as anecdotal and subjective. (Which is about as good as most internet opinions)
The Bilsteins are great shocks but I hear a lot of people say they're stiff and have a rough ride, especially if you don't have a lot of extra...
Maybe an over simplification but to me if you specifically ask a dealer to do a 5 tire rotation and they argue saying it's not covered then you should find a dealer that doesn't suck.
Looks like the spring has slipped off the isolator on the bottom. (Or was never installed correctly) See the gap between the end of the spring and the plastic. Similar to this one:
The spring needs to be rotated around so there's no gap. This should help though may not fully fix the issue...
that's probably just an inspection of the pads. pads and rotors should last 50k +. It's one of the things I look at every time I rotate the tires, about every 8k
disclaimer.. I'm a JK guy but in general this applies to the JL just the same.
The offset is not offset from stock wheel, it's the offset from the centerline of the rim. I believe offset on a stock rim is 44.5 so anything less will push the wheel out which is required to prevent larger tires...
I'm going to be staying in LBL the weekend of 1/18 - 1/21 and wanting to wheel Sat and/or Sun while there. Anybody interested to join / show us some trails? I'll be there with a stock '17 Rubi and my brother will have his stock sport.
Any recommendations for trails or other things to do in the...
Late to the conversation but I've got the Bartact covers on my JK. Had some on my '09 (back when they were TrekArmor) and bought another set for my current '17. These are hands down the best seat covers I've seen. They hold up well and are worth every penny.
