Yes, finally. Turns out it was a faulty MAF sensor that was giving incorrect readings. It must be super rare otherwise I'd expect that to be one of the first things to check, instead of wasting time on the tune. Once they swapped that out for a good one they were able to apply the original tune...
Yes, they are sending the HP Tuners cable. I believe they have the bypass under control, as they figured out the no-start issue after the first couple back and forth of mailing in the PCM. Now it starts but runs heavy and dies after a minute, from what I understand. I actually hope it's...
Apparently they're sending out a cable to the custom shop, and a technician here will work with a technician there to figure it out, instead of shipping the chip back and forth. Hopefully I'll hear good news tomorrow.
Yeah, it's definitely not ideal. But having it flashed multiple times now and still no working car has me really troubled. I wouldn't think there would be any variables here that would cause that. It either works or it doesn't.
