You also have to consider the effect of a 20mpg 2.0 vs a 40 mpg 2.0 which is roughly the difference between a Jeep and a VW sedan. The 20mpg engine is running hotter with double the flow past the same sized valves. Heat and flow will both keep the valves cleaner. There are also intake and...
I just tried to trade our 2021 JLUR with 27k miles on it using kbb range of 44-46k. Most offers were around 37k and I was offered up to 40k by one dealer that I think really wanted to move the Wagoneer I was interested in. So don't trust that kbb number. On the other hand I see a lot of them...
I don't know if the price will really go down much. We are into year 3 of significantly reduced production. Millions of vehicles were never built and never will be. That will impact the used car market in the long and short term unless people drive less and wear out cars at a slower rate. The...
The problem is you are trying to sell a Jeep that sells new for $63k-7.5$ tax credit for $63k. Post it up for $55-56 and it will probably sell. Your plan to pocket that $7500 as profit is probably not going to work.
It would probably take 6 weeks to order one from Gupton. 4XE is the lease to have right now since the $7500 tax credit comes off the top when you lease.
We would have run out of nylon or aluminum if there were no chip shortages. I assume other suppliers were days from running out of multiple parts/materials more than once this year.
The only new vehicle launch Ford does not consistently screw up is the F150 and maybe the Mustang. The lack of availability is probably a good thing for anyone that wants one because they will be forced to wait a year or two and Ford will have fixed most of the bugs by then. I expect Jeep to...
I checked out some of the Q2 2019 vs Q2 2021 numbers and it is not good for Ford, GM, FCA. Ford is down almost 25% between those quarters with GM and FCA (closer to 10% down) are not down as bad while Toyota, Honda, Hyudai, VW (really?) are up significantly in the same comparison. With lots more...
FCA outsold Ford. I wonder if that has ever happened before? Ford seems to have screwed up quite a bit more than anyone else with the chip shortages.
I would like to see 2019 numbers vs 2021 since 2020 was so historically different.
I have had an ordered Jeep sitting at Gupton almost a week (ordered 5/27) and I can barely get them to answer email so I can get a trade value and get financing done.
There is and will be a used car shortage for years. I agree the prices won’t stay this high but they are not going back down to where they were 6 months ago unless there is a recession/depression.
The used prices won’t go back down to what they were. I don’t know that they will stay this high but we lost close to two months of vehicle production last year due to covid shut downs and now we are losing a lot of production the material shortages. We are going to be millions of cars short of...
It makes a noticeable difference (in a good way) in slick conditions especially in 2wd. It won't lock up when a back tire is in the air but it does a pretty good job of increasing traction when both wheels are on the ground.
The combined city/hwy on gasoline is 23 on a 2 door with 2.0, 22 on a 4 door with 2.0, and 20 on the 4XE. The 2.0 sports don't get any hybrid system whatsoever. How did Jeep lose 2 mpg by adding a hybrid system? At worst it should be the same and since it should have full hybrid mode it should...
