  1. 1st Time Buyer. 2.0 or 3.6? Leather color for summer

Most people will suggest 1 engine over another because they have zero experience with the other. I test drove both the 3.6 and 2.0 - 100 miles each - and felt the 2.0 was the better drive with less sluggishness. Driving the JK 3.6 without a pedal commander or other throttle response enhancer was...
  2. What are the chances of landing a Sahara/Rubicon under $600/Month if financed?

A $600 monthly payment is insane...throw in insurance costs and you have a burden that will last seemingly forever. I always say, if you dont have the cash, dont buy the item...then again 2008 didnt teach anyone a lesson I guess. The only place debt makes sense is a home purchase. Heres a...
  3. First ding on 2 month old Jeep ...

I would drive it directly to the junkyard and sell for scrap! That thing is headed for salvage title for sure. When you consciously decide to take your Jeep offroad, you unconsciously decide to start ruining the exterior.
  4. Old School Jeep Owner vs new Jeep owner Logic

If you enjoy 80s green screen technology, less fuel efficiency, a back seat that flops like a fish when folded, doors that hit you in the ass, an outdated transmission and a wiper box that blocks half your view then stick with your pre-JL Jeep. Your flip phone fits nicely in it, why change? For...
  5. 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Moab Edition - Official Specs and Pricing!

Hmm..I bought a sport unlimited JL, w/ towing package and tech package for $39k, added 35" tires, 18 inch wheels and 2.5 lift for $3800, new leather 2 tone seats for $700, re-geared to 4.56 for $1200, sahara side steps for $150, Spartacus full size front bumper for $650 and Mopar gas cap for...
  6. Will I need to regear

4.56 is recommended by Jeep Engineers and Lift shops for 35's, 5.13 for 37s. I have fully tested your scenario out going from stock 3.45 to 4.56 on 35's. BIG difference in so many ways. (too much effort to write them all here). Mopar kit is available at this time. Uninformed opinions in forums...
  7. Are you re-gearing for 35s or 37s?

The best source of info are Jeep Engineers and lift shops. If you move to 35" tires, they recommend 4.56, if going to 37s at a minimum 4.88, but 5.13 is preferred. The stock gearing - even Rubicon- does NOT ( I repeat NOT) support 35s. If you do not re-gear, the speedo will be off and MPG will...
