Hey thats a really nice GT. Love the way you did it. Its rare to find an owner that doesnt "overdo" them and i love your nice subtle mods.
I was actually going to go for those wheels too, so we think a lot alike :)
Here's my '11. I have the CS front fascia sitting in a box in my garage waiting...
Nah, Im 6'5" and im all good in there. I just have to scooch down a bit if im the first one at the lights, but other than that im fine.
I ended up buying some Misch seat extender rails to give me a few more inches legroom if i need it, but it wasnt mandatory...
Just a quick report from me that i just had this TSB procedure performed and my damper was replaced. Seems to have completey fixed my issue.. hope it stays this way. Very happy!
I'm having mine replaced this coming week as well. Part is on order.
I will update after its installed.
My experience was a very violent shudder in the steering wheel after hitting bumps in the road but only at speeds > 110 kmph or so. Note that this issue is "death wobble" and not steering...
.. Aside from some mall crawling...
I took mine into the dealer to investigate death wobble that I am consistently getting between 100-120 km/h on the highway. They said that they couldnt find anything when they drove it at 90km/h - despite specific instructions to go 100-120. I guess i have to...
Just want to mention that I had a dead alternator at 2300Kms. I have the tow package with the upgraded one by the way.
Its been replaced and all is well now, but similar situation to yours. I was dead in a parking lot.
So mine will go side to side slightly on the highway, but nothing id take it in for service for. I figured it was just a product of purposely imprecise steering (for offroad), and large sidewall tires.
More troubling is that at certain speeds on the highway i get momentary "axle hop" feeling...
I grabbed this Ronin 4" one and it works great. No noticeable difference in reception at all and nice quality:

I just got my Jeep Sport S back today with exactly the same symptoms you had, except mine completely died on me at 2700KM.
It turned out to be a bad alternator (although i've only had it back a day, so i hope this is the final root cause).
I think these symptoms are indicative of any number of...
Just posting this to add to the knowledge pool, and ill post further updates.
My dead (not able to crank over) Jeep with a ESS service error has been diagnosed as a bad alternator by my local dealer.
Its due to be replaced tomorrow, so ill update you guys on how it goes.
UPDATE - Alternator...
A lot of apologists.
Yes its a rugged offroad vehicle, and you're all very tough and all, but i dont think its reasonable for a 50K vehicle to have an obvious design flaw (that 5 minutes of rain testing should have caught) that makes it look like you pissed your pants every time you drive it...
Oh yeah dont get me wrong, im not bashing the vehicle itself (yet). And even if it were an issue with a part, I dont think its a big deal if there is a straightforward replacement, then im back in business. It doesnt necessarily mean there is a design flaw just because a part fails, and I...
To anyone else having this issue, it may be obvious, but take it to the dealer and dont turn the car on and off hoping it will go away. Even if it does go away you may be in for more serious issues down the road. Get it to the dealer and start keeping a log of EVERYTHING, in case this becomes a...
So, im hearing all these electrical gremlins, thinking ah well its just the internet. I mean i feel for all those people certainly, but i figure law of averages there will be a certain amount of issues and you are likely to hear about it on the internet.
Tonight i became one of those stats...
I would imagine it wont be long before you can get a nice cap for the truckbed, then you kind of have an extended Wrangler which will be the best of both worlds in a way.
