Consider using steel C channel bars to mount to your ceiling and connect to several spots along the bar, that way no one lag bolt is mission critical. Then mount your hoist to the c channel bar. I have an AuxxLift hoist (awesome) and that’s how the installer did it.

Exact Teraflex mount I bought. Did you figure out how to get a lower SWR? Did you have to run a separate grounding wire from the mount to somewhere on the body frame?

I’m dealing with the same exact issue. A T55 torx bit doesn’t fit inside the screw well enough (just the very tip kind of goes in), and a T50 torx bit is way to loose. Does anyone one know why neither torx bit seems to be right?

I see from your gallery photos it looks like they got crunched up below the step. That's probably a weak spot for sure.

Did you have photos of them on a Granite Crystal Metallic JLUR four door? I’d like to see how they look. Maybe since it’s a darker color the pinch seam isn’t as noticeable.

I agree. I don’t like seeing the pinch seam. I’m considering buying a set, but would like to see how they look on Granite Crystal Metallic first. Wish they were longer to fill the space better.

Has anyone used the Rancor hoist and Topsy hinge brackets with a hard top that has a Rhino Rack (or similar rack installed)? I have 4 door JL Rubicon with the Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform on my hard top and I’m wondering, A) will it work with the hoist, and B) will this exceed the weight limit...

Why is the “JL-specific mounting bracket” needed when installing H3R's Extreme Duty Flat Surface Bracket for 2.5lb Extinguishers (Model NB300)? Wouldn’t it install properly with the cool tech bracket? I’m just trying to understand what it adds to the equation before I decide to buy it. Thank you.

I just had the Rhino Rack Pioneer Platform installed with their Backbone system and now my SiriusXM radio keeps cutting out. Also, the GPS was spotty for several minutes as I drove away from the shop. I haven’t tested the GPS again, but they both showed problems immediately after the install.

Hi Paul, When you say JCR plate, is that the winch mounting bracket or just the black piece of metal at the front of the bumper behind the fairlead?
