Sorry just saw this.....yes still available.
  2. New York Rusty's lower control arms

Yeah just have to find them......somewhere in the garage! LOL
  3. New York Rusty's lower control arms

Sorry paired these with a trackbar in the last thread, learned that it is easier to do this one at a time. Trackbar sold, so here is a relist of the lower control arms. These are the Rusty's Offroad adjustable arms, they are not the flex ends. Were on the JL for a couple of months, they did...
  4. JL (2DR) Smartliner floor mats-front only

Pair of Frontliner floor mats, just he fronts. Need a cleaning but were in a JLUS for about 2 months. $55 shipped, $45 pickup. Located near Cooperstown NY.
  5. JL (2DR) Sold: trackbar/lower control arms

Yeti Xd trackbar and Rusty's lower control arms. Both were on a JL Sport S for approximately 3500 miles. Traded the JL so no longer needed. They did see winter driving in upstate NY but both are in excellent shape and just need a quick clean. Would prefer pickup but can ship if necessary, I...
  6. Loose steering feels like it has play and drifts

I am completely blown away by how temperature sensitive these things are. Seriously when I got the new steering box first three days it was sub 20 degrees and it honestly drove much better. Then it warmed up to 32 degrees and the Jeep was worse, over 40 degrees it was an absolute handful!
  7. Steering wheel wobble?

BRILLIANT! Seriously well done, I found the same thing on mine. Both drag link and sway bar had excessive play. Set the tow on my JKUR the other day and played around, drag link rotates but there is no vertical movement. I mentioned this in another thread, my drag link on the JL had as much...
  8. Steering wheel wobble?

ZGN, My one mechanic buddy who has an alignment shop is convinced it is the steering box/steer assist programming. I was on board with him for the most part. I had my original gear box replaced to no avail, the second one sucked as bad as the first one. The thing that confused me is that for...
  9. Loose steering feels like it has play and drifts

Gary, Mine was actually the best with 0 toe in. I went all the way to 3/16's toe in and it still sucked. If I kept the Jeep I was going to actually go 1/16 toe out, weird I know but felt it was worth a try. Experience tells me that toe makes only a marginal difference, I would not spend the...
  10. Loose steering feels like it has play and drifts

Yeah not a bad thought, unfortunately the stabilizer is not the problem. In fact I believe that the stabilizers are being overworked due to other issues, causing them to fail. The fox units are solid so a good choice on your part.
  11. 2018 JL Loose Steering Daily Journal

Just a quick follow up on my last post, the JKUR is far from perfect and there are handling characteristics that I am not fond off. That said it is a safe vehicle and with a bit of work and a small expense I am convinced that I can make it drive the way I want. I have been in contact with an...
  12. 2018 JL Loose Steering Daily Journal

Well buddy you and I made the same mistake, difference is I have owned numerous Jeeps and put over 100k on two JK's prior to purchasing the JL, one quick test drive and fell in love with the 2.0T and bought the Jeep. Damn impulse buy that I now regret. Unfortunately the wife told me to buy a...
  13. Loose steering feels like it has play and drifts

If the stabilizer you put on is a gas variety with nitrogen then it could absolutely cause the vehicle to pull to the left. The gas stabilizers are really designed for large heavy tires and are not the best option with a stock set up. A simple hydraulic stabilizer is better unless you are...
  14. Loose steering feels like it has play and drifts

The info I had on the original batch of stabilizers was similar to yours in that they had air pockets causing cavitation. To me this would destroy the 50/50 hydraulic damping action of the stabilizer. In other words the stabilizer should react the same in both directions in a linear fashion...
  15. Loose steering feels like it has play and drifts

PW, this is an outstanding post! In principle I agree with basically everything you said. I mentioned in a previous post that the tie rod and drag link on my JL was not as "heavy" as my JK's. I also found playing around setting the toe on the new JKUR the other day that the movement was very...
  16. Loose steering feels like it has play and drifts

If you damage, dent or bend a stabilizer it can cause serious steering lockup. Have witnessed that on a JK, we simply took it off and the guy ended up driving it no stabilizer for a few weks until he got around to replacing it. Too stiff could be a problem but experience tells me it would...
  17. 2018 JL Loose Steering Daily Journal

Sorry guys I have been gone since I swapped the JL for a JKUR, stopped by today to see what is going on and found this thread has grown a bit! Just to follow up a bit on Rdmitch, I will try to keep this short as I don't want to come off as a crusty Jeep guy......but listen our problems are not...
  18. Track bar recall coming...

I had wobble and poor steering/wandering, if the trackbar is for wobble then that makes sense as the wobble stopped, however, I did the stabilizer and trackbar together so again it is clear as mud to me.
  19. Track bar recall coming...

100% agree, I have driven a JL that drives great, I don't know what the problem is but it is definitely isolated and limited to certain vehicles.
  20. Track bar recall coming...

It is not the track bar, had the yeti installed with no improvement.
