Hello, I installed mine with the valve up; somewhat hard to install the airline and clamp. The picture shows the bag with red and black spaces on top for a Rubicon; the coil spring is fully extended. It is essential to leave slack in the airline at the full extension.

It is not a direct comparison for a JL wrangler, but the tan interior for my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee was 100% in great shape, no visible fading, cracking or discoloration. Also for my 2005 Ford Excursion the tan interior is also still in great shape, comes down to how you take care of your cars.
I expect none, EPA has new laws prohibiting any modifications, along with heavy fines for violators.
