We have the destroyer sliders and they work great for protection and as a step. The whole family utilizes the step - I'm 6'4" all the way down to my 5 year old daughter. Highly recommend LOD products!
It's a decoy put there by the actual cluster dimmer wheel. So when you actually want to dim the instrument cluster, there is no possible way of making contact with the actual dimmer wheel. You spin it a few times and then give up convinced nothing in life is going right. Dimmer wheel wins.
I have that combo and there is some overlap, but nothing to hinder installation. Very happy with both!! With the LOD sliders, I would recommend picking up some more heavy-duty washers.

Same rattling issues for the soft top surround pillars. Came up with my own solution after trying all sorts of failed attempts with weather stripping, dynamat and electrical tape. You can use the hardtop mounting holes - drill clearance holes at the bottom of the plastic door surround pillars...
1) I did drill the one recommended hole - using a step drill bit works great. That stiffened up the passenger side slider tremendously. I did not drill the extra holes towards the rear. The surrounding mounts were more then sturdy.
