Any recommendations on a spare relocation bracket for an unlimited. I’m not going bigger than 285/75/17’s (about 33.5). I’m trying to find quality of course but don’t want to raise it up like 3 inches and out 2 or more inches if I don’t have to... considering I really only need 1/2 inch.
I’ll find out soon enough but does anyone know if 285/75/17’s on stock wheels will fit the stock spare carrier? Manufacture states 33.8 diameter but odds are they will be slightly smaller.
What’s everyone’s personal experience with E rated tires? Wondering if the much heavier and stiffer tires has any significant drawbacks on the street.
Does anyone know if a stock unlimited will achieve max articulation with the sway bar disconnected? Will the tires rub or will it hit the bump stops first? Or does the stock shocks and springs prevent it from even getting there? Thanks.
So I’m planning on doing a small but different kind of build. My JLU is a daily driver but will be doing moderate off-roading frequently (nothing crazy). I have a friend with a tire shop that has allowed me to do some experimenting and have discovered that an offset of 35 will keep 35x11.5 tires...
Trying to figure out what is the largest tire that can be run on the stock wheels (17 or 18), no lift without any rubbing issues. I’ve seen 285/70/18 and there seemed to be room for a bit more.
Anyone?
