Curious how people are mounting their Goal Zeros, Jackerys, etc. so they are good and secure when offroad. I have a rear cargo shelf and was thinking about using these straps from Rough Country, but I'm curious if there are better options. The inside of the jeep gets pretty sporty on some of...
Hi all. Can anyone confirm the number of grease fittings on a Metalcloak 1310 front shaft?
edit: Just confirmed with Metalcloak (way faster and easier than I anticipated!) that it is 5 total. Each u joint, the slip and the pin in the center of the cluster have fittings.
I was watching this video where a soft shackle broke during a kinetic recovery and one of the commentors mentioned the use of a safety lanyard instead of a winch dampener to mitigate risk. Here is an example of what I believe is being referred to.
The basic premise is a lanyard is attached to...
Hi all. The stock recovery points (I have a 2018 JLUS) appear to be attached to the frame both front & rear. Do we know if they are suitable for a kinetic recovery or should they be replaced?
Thanks
Hi all. I have a Goal Zero 1000x and I have their 12v car charger which provides pretty meager charging compared to their 120v house charger. I saw this video where an inexpensive pure sine wave inverter could be used with the house charger to drastically improve charge times. Can someone...
Good morning all. Last December (2022) I had a MC 2.5" True Dual Rate lift installed on my 2018 JLU Sahara. Along with the lift I installed 35" Maxxis RAZR AT tires on my stock wheels. Upon picking it up I noticed that it had a definite shimmy that turned into a full blown wobble with the...
Hi all. Quick question for those of you with a 270 degree awning. Does the rear of the awning provide adequate coverage of the tailgate when it is open? I'm curious about being able to effectively use the tailgate table in the rain etc.
Thanks!
Mike
Hi all. Curious if a 6yr old can be in their booster in the front seat when off-road. Does 4lo disable the airbag? This is not for extreme rock crawling, if that matters.
Hi all. I keep seeing this product pop up in my FB feed NH Overland Map
Has anyone ever used it or heard anything about it? I've started exploring some of the roads and I'm looking for a resource that provides more information.
What do you use to explore the Class 6 Rd network?
Thanks
Hi all. I see Fox 2.5 Performance non-reservoir shock on the JKS site here.
I do not see these on the Fox website. Is this a collaberative shock between JKS and Fox? Has anybody used them or have any anecdotal details? They look like a good shock for my use but struggling to find any info...
So as I start doing more and more advanced trails I've really noticed an almost brutal side to side "whipping" motion going through rock gardens and the like. I don't know what I don't know, and this might be perfectly normal, but if it is I have no idea how anyone brings dogs with them...
Hi all. Checking in to see if anyone has any real world experience with the Fab Fours tube sliders. I like the price, aesthetics and install but I can't get a good sense of their abilities and weight. Are they all show and no go? Love to hear some feedback.
Thanks
Hi all. Does anyone know of a product out there or a decent hack that would cover the cargo area with a mosquito screen when the tailgate and glass are open? Let's say you're cooking on the tailgate table in New England, the chef will already be too woozy from blood loss and Triple E to care...
After measuring and pricing out every reasonable duty cargo box I could find, I finally landed on the HF Bauer boxes. My goal was to have boxes that don’t extend past the split when the main seat was folded down thereby not infringing on that cargo space. I also wanted to use as much depth and...
Brand new XG cargo bag, passenger side only. I needed the drivers side for my build and have no use for the other one.
$80 plus shipping.
Thanks,
Mike
