Thanks! I haven't yet, but I'm still considering it. I haven't found a need off road, but I wonder if I did if I would get more use out of 8th gear and get better MPG on the expressway. Now I'm somewhere between 14 and 16 depending on the weather and driving habits.
I've kinda let this build...
I was told by my local discount tire that 35x1250 would probably be fine but they didn't recommend it and they wouldn't do 37x1250 on a stock wheel.
I wouldn't recommend going to a 35 without the reinforcement, I didn't on my JK when I went to wider 33s and eventually mt tailgate started to...
I enjoy the Jeep wave, I actually hate the biker wave.
I get fewer bike waves back and its just more cumbersome to wave and take the hand off of the controls.
I sometimes regret adding the auto, other times when its snowing outside and I have the remote start I'm glad I did.
Adding Nav was kind of a waste with how much I like apple carplay and Waze.
I go by my middle name of Mitch, so it would have been nice to have it come that way, but its still really cool and I had no idea they did this until I received delivery of my Jeep.
Finally got some decent off roading in. Went to Southington Offroad park over the weekend and snapped a few pics. Got into some deep mud but the Jeep powered through it without any struggle. Had a blast.
the rear tires rubbed a bit on the wheel well. Gotta look into that. Once I get the winch...
Made the name official.
So say we all!
swapped out the stock lugs for spline drive ones from quadratech. Something I should have done when I got the new wheels.
I also tried adding a third brake light but I wasn't able to trouble shoot it yet to get it to work, something is wrong with...
-They said that the offset would create issues with the fenders on on the Sahara and Sport as the wheels sit out a little further. I'm assuming when flexing they would hit the fender but the high Rubicon ones would be out of the way. .
Yes sir they are. I contacted AEV and asked them about the wheels and they said they would be fine on a JL Rubicon but did not recommend them on a Sahara or Sport.
I will say that the center hub opening is a bit tight on the spare tire camera but other than that they are great. :)
My recommendation would be to get a sport with just a couple options if you really want a Jeep. See if you can get one in the low 30s and get a payment somewhere around $450. You'll likely need a down payment to get there but that will help with interested rates.
Drive that Jeep for 5-6 years...
I can torque them down and use a plethora of products to help against corrosion. Instead these plastic screw heads will easily sheer off and lose any sort of grip to get them out when scraped against anything harder than plastic.
I do understand the benefit, just not my preference. Going to be...
I think I'm dreaming about designing my perfect garage barn more than I am designing my dream house lol.
I want a 10 foot door with a hoist large and strong enough to lift the hard top off with a rack and rooftop tent attached to it.
I'm on 37s with the mopar 2" lift and 4.10s
Mine will not go into 8th on the highway, I've tried running at 70, 75, and 80, and at best it hits 7th but often will sit in 6th.
I used the tazer JL to change the tire size and the speedo it true to GPS speed but the transmission just doesnt feel...
Thanks!
It is a standard size garage door and I have a few inches to spare. I think a 4" lift and 40s would probably be too much to fit. As it is, I don't think a full roof rack would fit. I'm looking to move in a couple years, a taller garage & door will be a strong consideration.
