Apparently the 2.0 has a problem with altitude. The Jeep rental places in Ouray reported it to Jeep. I was at Jeep Jamboree there last week and they would not allow 2.0s to register for trails above 10,000 feet (and this is a Jeep event). The Jeep engineers came to Ouray last week and...
Is there any reason this would not work with some cutting of the plastic? The problem I see with the OEM steel bumper is that you cannot see the winch spooling. I am a member of a rescue and recovery group and we use our winches frequently. This is a winch carrier...
They insisted on flashing the computer back to factory defaults first. That did not work, so then they had to replace the pump. FCA dictates the 2 step procedure.
Here is link to a bulletin, but it does not include the last step my dealership did, the replacement of the steering pump.

Actually my dealer took it very seriously and fixed it immediately. It's FCA that is not taking it seriously enough. My service dept. was stellar and I highly recommend Ft. Collins Jeep in Colorado.
I'm looking up the bulletin number and will post when I find it.
There is a bulletin on the power steering issue. The solution is to replace the steering pump with a different part that has -AD as the last letters of the part number. The bulletin says to flash the computer to default settings first, which doesn't work and I don't know why they bother with...
I don't know which version it is, but I'm sure it was not AD. They said I would get the most updated version. I am picking up today so I will check and let you know.
I just had this problem at low temps in the morning. No power steering until it warmed up (was 34 degrees). Took to dealer and they flashed the computer to factory defaults. They kept it overnight and it still did the same thing the next morning. They are now replacing the steering pump and...
Brand new owner to JLU Rubicon. I have never owned a Jeep, not even ever owned an American car.
So....I've been driving BMW, Audi, Porsche, Toyota for all these years and I agree that there is a very slight amount of play in the steering when going straight down the highway. I have to admit...
