Does anyone know the real width of the 285/70/17? Mine seem to measure about 270 mm..sure not 285.. Btw they work great (even if not winter dedicated tires) compared to the standard ones delivered with the Rubicon in Europe..And about the noise?day and night too of course..

Tks...I am still debating with myself why we have to get in Europe a whatered down Rubicon version (that costs a fortune compared to the real value) in so many areas...and then for most of the mods, when you wish one..., to be mostly illegal. We were just borned in the wrong place I know:facepalm:..

What a nice pic and combo..Love the color...compliments..Today I exceeded the first 10.000 km with the Rubicon 2.2 diesel and on highway I was able to reach 155 km/h for few seconds and without apparent efforts with the feeling that there is still something above...Not too bad for a squared 200...

Congratulations Sir:) I feel your excitement:like:..that color is fantastic and Spain seems more kind with local Jeepers than it happens in other European countries..Good for you..enjoy:)

Question for experts if possible... To change the fenders in Europe (JLUR) using the original ones used on the (lucky) American Rubicons will need a special validation and will interfere with the strict European homologation rules or will be just an easy change in your opinion?what do you think?
  12. JL in Europe

Hi and welcome on board...May I ask if you will need to change the wheels to install the 285/70/17?any spacer needed ?will you use more specific winter tires as Duratrac? Tks

So..it is a FAP sensor the origin of the problem. Now since the procedure with Jeep is quite long being one of the first cars here and since I have very limited time because we are on short holiday and far from home...I have to pay about 300 euro to get the car back in use in 2 or 3 hours...

Ps...stupid me..I forgot to say that my power is reduced..is not just a problem of the yellow light..I can't get let me say more than 1/3 of power and accelleration is ridicolous making it hard to drive safely..We will see

    Tks...for sharing.Tomorrow ..I can't wait..I will let "them" to check her..
  16. JL in Europe

I think that in France-Italy-Czech-Austria-Germany is quite difficult to spend less than 1.4/1.5 euro per liter of fuel.On highway...way way more..for example even 1.8 euro x liter in Italy..that sounds like about 6.75 EURO x gallon right?quite crazy I know..

Alfa Quadri as I call her, is simply the best saloon car I have ever owned including several BMW M3..It is and was perfect untill now..(66.000 km)..Her 510 hp and manual tranny transforms the ride in something really involving .I know the service will fix my Jeep ..it could be a sensor or...

Most of the time I was at 125 km/h on highway...sometime faster. The total average speed is offcourse lower due to the first 100 km done at not more than 50/80 km/h..Unfortunately this morning engine went under "protection"..Yellow engine is showing a problem somewhere..Tomorrow I will bring her...
  19. JL in Europe

900 km (560miles) in 9.5 hours...First 100 km just normal road ..low speed..then all by highway..26.4 gallons average consumption with a Rubicon diesel is quite good right?

Tks ..so if understand well, that means we could mount the 33" instead of the 32" due to the tolerance but still in the 255x17 size right?so just taller tires that will look even more unproportioned right? :lipssealed: Did you check your weldings about the track bar ?
