So mine is here in SLC at the train yard less than 10 miles from where I sit. Problem is I bought from a rural dealer (I got their only allocation, and at MSRP) so they need to wait until they have enough vehicles to fill a truck so they can ship it two and a half hours away. It would be nice...
VIN 761915 has a dealer ETA of 8/23-8/30. She is on a train and as of this morning had made it to Indiana. I wish there was a way to track the train or track the Jeep through the Guardian app.
I don't know how the supply for Ram or Chevy Trucks is being reported, but here in SLC there are two huge fields full of several hundred trucks. One is full of Ram, the other Chevy. A guy (not dealer affiliated) told me the Chevy field was waiting on chips. I call BS. I don't think they...
I was under the assumption that the Toledo plant was supposed to be closed last week for summer break. But we kept seeing Build Sheets and Stickers. Then I saw on FB that the plant is actually going to be closed this week for some re-tooling. Seems weird to do that so close to the end of a...
It seems there is a pattern to Jeeps being built on their estimated ship date. For those who are already built and knew their est ship date, was this your experience? I'm hoping not since I'm seeing higher VIN's with build sheets and my est ship date is still almost a month away.
Bummer. I was hoping to be one of the lucky ones and not to get jumped. VIN 761915. But there are a couple there win higher VIN's. I think I did every option but GG. And if I had known that was an option at the time I would have done that too since I've broken the windshield on my 19 JLUR...
Am I reading the spreadsheet correctly that VIN 762574 took delivery on 5/18 and VIN 770825 took delivery on 5/31? Those are really fast builds compared to the rest of us.
BTW: My order (5/12/21)
VIN 761915
Snazzberry
One Touch
Tow
Half Doors
Mats
Cameras
Hinge Gate reinforcement
That is my suspicion as well. I'm not expecting to see it until mid July. The 392's just don't seem to be getting through production very fast. I'll count myself lucky if I see it before then.
I ordered the same day as you (5/12) and ordered a very similar Jeep. Snazzy 392, one touch, dual doors. I have a VIN, but have not entered D1 yet either. I am interested to see if there is a time difference between our two builds.
They are not perfect, but I like my half doors a lot. Much better than the full doors, Gives me a much improved armrest. It’s not just the lower door line that’s nice, removing the whole window frame allows more space at the rear too. I still think the roll bar is about 4” too far forward, but...
I picked up my 2019 JLU Rubicon yesterday. In going through the orientation at the dealer I noticed an app called "Trails." I don't think the dealer had ever noticed it before, but tried to play it cool "that helps you find trails you can go on." Anyway, it is now gone, or at least I can't...
Wait... there is a build sheet on their website? I thought the only options we had were jeep garage or jeep chat. Can someone post the link on where to lookup the build sheet?
FWIW: My salesman at the dealer said I am in the "ship mode" whatever that is. But he sent me a picture of the...
I did it on my JL. Dealer told me it was unlikely they could do it since it’s in D1 status. If they catch it early enough your dealer has to call his factory rep and get them on the case.
It can and has been done by a bunch of people here.
I ordered 9/18. Just got off Jeep Chat. Rep told me they have received all parts to build the Jeep (JLU Rubicon). "Its not in build status yet, but check back tomorrow. ;-)" Not sure if that is standard blow off, or if she is hinting that it is scheduled to start the build tomorrow. Est Ship...
The ordering manager at my dealership told me they are planning a really short change over this year since there are very few changes. He was told they are planning less than a day to make the changes for the new year, "Basically turn the lights off, then back on." Obviously, he was being a...
